What started as a fun idea has become a beloved tradition — one that reminds us that a little kindness can brighten the entire hospital.

Members of our public safety crew and several other festive colleagues turned their annual holiday rounding at MidState Medical Center into smiles, high-fives and plenty of laughter for patients and colleagues.

Spirit of Giving spreads joy!

We’re grateful to have taken part in this year’s Spirit of Giving campaign alongside first responders from Hunter’s Ambulance and local Meriden organizations.

For the fifth year, Hunter’s Ambulance partnered with the City of Meriden to continue this meaningful tradition — bringing police, fire, paramedics, EMTs and community partners together to brighten the holidays for families in need.

Recently, teams went door to door delivering gifts to six Meriden families, spreading holiday cheer and reminding us all of the power of community.

MidState colleagues joined healthcare heroes from across the Northeast at The Hospital of Central Connecticut for the FEMA Pediatric Disaster Response and Emergency Preparedness Training, hosted by the Connecticut Emergency Nurses Association and TEEX.

From EMS to educators, this powerful collaboration focused on strengthening pediatric readiness in emergency scenarios. 👏 Special shoutout to our very own Jackie Bly for her incredible leadership and dedication to advancing pediatric care and preparedness!
