💙 DID YOU KNOW...

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is often called an “invisible illness” because many symptoms, like fatigue, pain, and brain fog, aren’t always visible to others.

Fact: Nearly 1 million people in the U.S. are living with MS.

Heat sensitivity is common; something as simple as warm weather can temporarily worsen symptoms.

There is currently no cure for MS, but treatments can help manage symptoms and slow progression.

March brings awareness to two important health topics: National Kidney Month and Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Awareness Month.

Both kidney disease and MS are complex, progressive conditions that often require ongoing care, coordination, and strong support systems for both patients and families. As these conditions advance, navigating care decisions and maintaining quality of life becomes increasingly important.

We at Bluebird partner with physicians, specialists, and care teams to support patients living with serious or chronic illness. Our home health, hospice, and home care services help provide skilled nursing support, symptom management, education, and compassionate care in the place patients feel most comfortable - right at home.

For patients living with kidney disease, this can include helping manage symptoms, providing education, supporting dialysis patients at home, and ensuring clear communication between care teams to prevent unnecessary hospitalizations. For those facing progressive neurological conditions like MS, care may focus on comfort, mobility support, caregiver relief, and maintaining dignity and quality of life.

This month, we honor those living with kidney disease and MS, as well as the caregivers, clinicians, and families who support them every day. Awareness, education, and compassionate care make a meaningful difference. 💙

March is Social Worker Month, and we want to take a moment to recognize the incredible professionals who advocate, support, and guide patients and families through some of life’s most challenging moments.

Social workers are often the steady voice in the room helping families navigate difficult decisions, connecting patients with resources, coordinating care, and ensuring every person is treated with dignity and compassion.

We are so grateful for not only our very own Bluebird social workers but the partnerships we have with social workers across hospitals, assisted living communities and skilled nursing facilities throughout our community. Your dedication makes a meaningful difference in the lives of the patients and families we serve.

Heart Month ❤️

Heart disease doesn’t always look dramatic.
Sometimes it looks like:

• Increasing fatigue
• Swelling in the legs
• More hospital visits
• Shortness of breath with simple tasks

Today we honor Martin Luther King Jr. and his enduring legacy of compassion, dignity, and service. Dr. King believed that caring for one another, especially in moments of vulnerability, was a moral calling. He reminded us that “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is: What are you doing for others?”
