Renewed Hope Counseling and Wellness

Renewed Hope Counseling and Wellness We are a Mental Health clinic celebrating 10 years in practice. New patients welcome.

We provide client centered mental health treatment; medication management, MedicationAssisted Treatment (MAT) with Suboxone and Vivitrol , as well as counseling. We are a mental health clinic that uses a collaborative and teamwork approach to client-centered care. We have a MSN, ARNP, PMHNP (Masters of Science Nursing Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner), who oversees evaluation and medication management. Our Clinical Director is an LCSW (licensed clinical social worker) with almost 20 years experience in therapy. She oversees our other counselors which include other LCSWs, LMSWs and LMFTs. We opened our clinic to provide quality care with the client at the center of all decisions. We believe non pharmacological care is just as important so we think outside the box utilizing pets, nutrition, exercise , sleep hygiene, and mindfulness to enhance client care.

The FREE hi-visibility vests for Nampa kids who walk, bike and scooter around town have arrived!
These are the vests that were funded by a generous donation from a community supporter, and we’re ready to hand them out!

These vests aren’t just a fashion statement this season,
these vests can be life-saving! 💚

🗓️ Thursday, February 26th
⏰ 4 to 6 p.m.
📍 We’ll have a drive-through-pick-up opportunity in the front parking lot of the Police Station at 820 2nd Street S.
🚨 Nampa PD staff will be in the front parking lot directing folks and handing out the vests as you drive through
🚗 Enter the front parking lot off of 9th Ave S as you travel southbound.
❌ you won’t be able to pull into the parking lot off of 2nd Street S. That will be for exiting vehicles only
😇 You can get more than one vest if you have more than one child. This giveaway is on the honor system, within reason, of course.
🛑 If you have questions, please message us here. Don’t call dispatch. We don’t want to impact their important work.
💚 We didn’t have access to a wide variety of sizes, but we’ll all certainly make do!
❓If you can’t make the drive-through-pick-up event, we’ll make a plan for any leftover vests and post that here too
🐓 We don’t have vests for your chicken

Sour candy can literally help stop a panic attack.

According to mental health experts, the intense flavor acts as a grounding technique—its sharp, jarring taste pulls attention away from overwhelming thoughts and into the immediate physical sensation.

This redirection can help interrupt the cycle of spiraling anxiety, bringing individuals back to the present moment. Additionally, the act of chewing and the surge in saliva production may support the body's calming response, offering a sense of control during distress.

While not a cure or replacement for therapy, this sensory-based strategy can serve as a quick, practical tool in moments of high anxiety. As noted by experts cited by Utah State University, sour candy can be particularly helpful in grounding exercises used during panic attacks. However, they caution that frequent or intense anxiety should always be assessed by a healthcare professional to ensure appropriate long-term care.
