Because truly… the energy, the friendship, the chaos (the good kind), the teamwork — it would not be the same without our assistants.

But what makes them so special isn’t just their skill — it’s their heart. They reassure nervous patients. They hold hands. They explain things twice. They celebrate smile transformations like they’re their own. They bring humor into long surgical days and somehow keep the energy positive even when the schedule is packed.

Happy Birthday, Dr. Melanie Noomen!

We are so lucky to celebrate one of our very own today! Dr. Melanie joined the McRae Dental team this fall, and she has been such a wonderful addition to our office. She puts patients at ease from the moment they sit in her chair, and her work is truly top notch. Thoughtful, detail oriented, and always striving for excellence, she brings such a calm confidence to everything she does!

Originally from Minnesota, she completed her dental training at the College of Dental Medicine at Roseman University of Health Sciences in Utah, where she experienced an incredible hands on learning environment that shaped the thoughtful, detail oriented dentist she is today. Before making the move to Boise, she was practicing up in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho for several years, and we are so grateful she chose to come south and join our team.

Dr. Melanie, we hope your birthday is filled with joy and relaxation! We are so thankful for you and excited for the year ahead!

Not all X-rays are created equal.

At our office, we use a CBCT (3D CT scan) to see what traditional X-rays simply can’t. This scan gives us a full, three-dimensional view of your teeth, bone, airway, nerves, and surrounding structures. No guessing. No blind spots.
Why does that matter? Because we know what we know… and we also know what we don’t know. And when it comes to your health, we don’t like guessing.

A CT scan helps us plan implants with precision, evaluate infections, assess bone levels, look at impacted teeth, and even evaluate airway concerns. It gives us clarity so we can recommend treatment with confidence.

Right now, we’re offering a complimentary CT scan for new patients and for current patients who have never had one taken in our office.

Our surgical assistants are the real MVPs behind the scenes.
