Our doctors rotate between clinic at High Desert Heart & Vascular in Meridian and the operating rooms at Treasure Valley Hospital in Boise. Part of what we enjoy about our cardiology sub specialty is the variety it offers us: face to face time in the clinic with patients and performing procedures for those patients in the operating room.

We also get to interact and work with two different groups of staff - our High Desert group and the Treasure Valley Hospital floor and OR group. Both make our work possible and enjoyable.

In our world, a device is a pacemaker, defibrillator or loop recorder. If you have one of these, you’ll get to know our device clinic nurse, Craig.

Craig is a wealth of knowledge and our patients love him. When you come to clinic to get your device checked, Craig reviews data, answers questions and ensures your pacemaker or defibrillator are running optimally.

Always a pleasure to speak at the Ada County Medical Society Winter Clinics. Dr. Noonan spoke to doctors, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and other providers who are caring for patients in the Treasure Valley. His topic covered current strategies to prevent heart disease, the number one killer of people nationally and worldwide.

It’s rewarding to share our specialty of cardiology with a group of dedicated doctors and providers, serving our community of Ada county.

Admiring your coworkers is a privilege we get to do each day. The skills, talents and problem-solving that we witness our fellow partners make is awe-inspiring.

It’s a club not many people belong to: holding lives of patients in your hands. Where you are making split-second decisions that can be the difference between life and death. It’s our profession, but often we forget to step back and remember the years of training, sleepless nights and sacrifices to get here.

We don’t take this responsibility lightly. It comes home with us each night, makes its way to dinner table conversations and family vacations. It’s a calling we answered and it’s an honor to be a part of so many patients’ journeys.

So just a little reflection on how cool it is to work with some of the best who do truly remarkable things each day.

Grateful for friends who we also call partners and a little shout out to creating a practice where we can fulfill that calling.
