Our newest investment is one of the greatest predictors of heart health and longevity.

VO₂ max measures how much oxygen your body can use during peak exercise. It’s one of the best indicators of cardiovascular fitness and long-term health. For our cardiac patients, it helps us understand functional capacity and tailor treatment safely. For athletes, it guides training and performance goals. And for anyone trying to stay healthy as they age, a higher VO₂ max is strongly linked to better longevity and overall quality of life.

We are really excited to have this test in our office: for cardiac patients, athletes or anyone wanting to know where their fitness actually is.

A day in the lab with Dr. Noonan, working on an SVT originating close (1.4mm) to the AV node. These tricky arrhythmias can cause fast heart rates, but if located, can be ablated and cured.

Sometimes we just have to pinch ourselves that we get to practice medicine for our community in this space. We dreamed up this group called High Desert Heart & Vascular almost 3 years ago and have made it a successful reality.
