Julia Norton, PA has recently been getting rave reviews from both patients and staff for her ability to be intelligent and personable. In fact, we have patients who transfer their full cardiac care from larger institutions to High Desert Heart & Vascular after being seen by Julia.

Julia thinks critically, not just treating numbers in a chart, but really listening to patients and their stories. She has recently uncovered a case of Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy in an athlete who presented with syncope. In another patient, she found a new, aggressive heart blockage that required a stent.

These are just a couple of examples of how a well-trained and attentive provider can positively change the outcome of a patient’s life.

We’re proud to recognize Ryan Lowery, nominated by his peers, as our High Five Hive Award winner for April.

Ryan has been with High Desert Heart & Vascular since the very beginning and has played an important role in shaping the care we provide today. With over 30 years of healthcare experience, he brings both depth and consistency to every patient interaction. He is also respected by his colleagues.

As one of the first people patients see, Ryan sets the tone for their visit—making sure they feel heard, supported, and cared for. His approach reflects exactly who we strive to be as a clinic.

Outside of work, Ryan enjoys time with his wife and two children and embraces all things Idaho—Boise State 🧡💙, the outdoors, camping, horses, and 4H. He’s also a professional taxidermist, which always makes for a great conversation.

We’re grateful for Ryan and the steady, thoughtful care he brings to our team every day.

Happy National Physicians’ Day to our MDs!

While March 30 serves as the anchor for National Doctors’ Day, the values it represents extend well beyond one date on the calendar.

Medicine is not practiced in moments, and appreciation for those who practice it shouldn’t be limited to a single day. National Doctors’ Day also serves as a year-round reminder to recognize the professionalism, judgment, and humanity physicians bring to their work every day.
