I've been encouraging all of our friends, family and patients for many years to increase their vitamin D to fortify their immune systems. This is just one more piece of information that I would like to share to encourage people to increase their vitamin D, especially during these trying times. It's been my experience here in Idaho that I've needed to take 20,000 IU'S per day in the winter and 5,000 units per day in the summer to keep my blood levels at 55.

Low levels are associated with the severity of Omicron and other variants.
