Today we recognize National Women Physicians Day and honor the women who have shaped the field of medicine. Pictured is Dr. Elizabeth Blackwell, the first woman in the United States to earn a medical degree in 1849. Her determination opened the door for generations of women physicians to follow. Today, women physicians continue that legacy through leadership, expertise, and compassionate care. We are proud to work alongside the women physicians at OGA who serve our patients and community every day.
