The BEST line of defense against sickness and illness that no one is talking about.. 🤔
Living a healthy lifestyle I’m honestly confused that we aren’t hearing more on this. 🤯

Nutrition:
Ever heard that during this whole thing? Fuel your body with all the wholesome foods, Marco , and micronutrients. 🥗
Exercise:
Exercise is such a great defense against illness as it helps support a healthy immune system. 💪🏼

Rest & Stress Management:
No, you’re not being lazy if you get more zzzzzzz. Sleep is essential. Also emotional wellness is just as important as physical. We have to learn how to manage our stress in healthy ways. 🧘🏻‍♀️

Reducing Toxic Load:
Need I say more, the number one thing that causes disease is toxins. Toxicity = low immunity. ☠️
Informed self care:
This is not synonymous with self-indulgence or being selfish. Self-care means taking care of yourself so that you can be healthy (meditation, massage, etc) you can be well, and you can show up with more self love. 🛁
Proactive medical care:
there are many ways to be proactive with your health, it starts internally. Proactive healthcare doesn’t come from the government. ❌
And of course.. hygiene.. cause duh 🙂
With all that said.. we have not been given a spirit of fear so yes be SMART, but remember God has called you to move forward in confidence. Facts over fear. Prepared over panicked. Clean hands & open hearts. Breathe. Let’s rise with compassion & keep an eye on each other too. Love isn't cancelled. ❤️

4 ways to support metabolic Health with nutrition. 🥗
1. 1-2 adrenal cocktails a day and 2 to 4 if you’re active. These have bioavailable potassium (you need 47000 mg a day) vit. C and sodium to support electrolyte balance therefore the adrenals. Aka, less stressed. 🍹
2. 80-100 g. Of fatty protein. Yes fatty. More if your lifting weights. Fatty protein are more rich in nutrients (sardines, chicken thighs, ribeye, grass fed beef, ect.) Eating more fatty proteins will help Balance blood glucose levels and provide consistent, even flow of energy for stable mood/emotions, also Keep you satisfied and avoid sugar cravings. 💯
3. More good fat! Avocados, whole eggs, macadamia nuts, grass fed butter, etc. Eating more good fat (not bad fats PUFAS) will help balance out your hormones and supports brain/mental health. Most women don’t consume enough good fat to support their body & mental function. Fat is part of every cell in your body. What more is there to say? Structurally, cellularly you have to have it. Eat it! 🔥
4. Taking beef liver & cod liver oil. I personally don’t like eating liver, or cod so I supplement. These are both bioavailable forms of copper, vitamin A & D. Plus iron + all your B vitamins. This helps balance minerals in the body. 🥩 🐟

Throw out the food pyramid. ‼️
I think this is important to know since we’re diving into nutrition. The government food pyramid has created fat storing, anxious humans. Here’s why….. 🥑🥬✅
The food pyramid was put out by the Department of agriculture, conflict of interest? It was to promote agriculture production and trade, etc. it was never about nutrition and health or based of science. 💰
The food pyramid promotes a diet that is high in sugar (carbohydrates) and low in fats…it’s a recipe for poor nutrition, and poor nutrition is a recipe for malnutrition. Malnutrition leads to mineral deficiencies and balances in blood & brain chemistry - ultimately manifesting into chronic disease & mental/emotional health issues. ✴️
We evolved to survive on quality sources of protein and fat, with minimal refined carbohydrates. But in todays world the bulk of the standard diet is carbohydrates (sugar), especially refined and processed…which has put us where we’re at with 88% of our nation metabolically unhealthy. 😭
Excess Refind Carbs = Excess blood glucose= GLYCATION. = FAT STORING HORMONES. Think of glycation as “gumming” up your system and your brain (aka anxiety + depression). AGES (Advanced Glycated End Products) AGE YOU! Excess glucose in the blood stream is NO BUENO, and overtime it will negatively impact your health. ❌
Don’t shoot the messenger!!! There’s a saying that says “we will dig own grave with a fork.”Majority of people are. I passionate about helping moms restore physical and mental health, and it starts with our forks. 🍴

Nourished Mindset! 💯
All in January I am educating my community about nutrition and my philosophy.
I like to address how we think about nutrition before we dive into the nitty gritty. (what to eat, how to eat, goals, ect) 🥬
The bottom line is nutrients give our bodies instructions about how to function. Nutrients in food we eat allows the cells in our bodies to perform the necessary physical function, thus affecting us emotionally too. 🔥
When are cells do not regularly receive quality nutrient requirements the metabolic process slows down. The food you eat now dictates the quality of life you will have in the future. 🤘🏼
Having a different perspective and mindset around healthy eating gives us a view of nutrition that goes beyond calories, grams, blah, blah. Instead of viewing food in a negative way we look to food as a way to create health and reduce disease by helping our body maintain function. 🥑
After all we only get one body and this is our souls home. Changing our mindset and thinking differently when it comes to eating well, first. The mindset of truly nourishing our bodies and focusing metobolic health allows our body to function and perform efficiently so we can truly thrive.🖤
When we start to change our mindset around food we also change our relationship with it too. Eat to live, not live to eat. ✨
Eating well is essentially true wellness, and without it our health declines. I eat well for my future self and body. It's more than weightloss, it's about HEALTH... vitality and longevity. ✴️
If your mindset never shifts it will be really hard to create a consistent lifestyle with healthy nutrition. This is why I teach it first.

I get it, I’ve been there. This this pattern WILL NOT change your health goals or help you heal grief. Consistency is not easy. Consistency is not sexy 😆. It can be annoying to some people in your life because THEY lack the discipline to be consistent in their own lives. ⁠💯

1️⃣ You show up more fully with quality connection.
2️⃣ You feel sexy because your body is changing (and looks good AF), so your sexual relationship gets better!
3️⃣ You have energy and therefore your schedule stays on point and organized.
4️⃣ Your mindset shifts in a positive way because you feel loved in the process.
5️⃣ Since your healing you have less anxiety and your mood drastically improves!
6️⃣ You set an example and it becomes a family health and fitness adventure!
7️⃣ Goals = gains! When you’re hitting your goals your family sees and it gives them permission to do the same.
8️⃣ Communication becomes more open because both of you are benefiting.
I’m sure there is tons more....All of these things support your spouse as well, so it goes in full circle. Investing in your health and fitness journey benefits your spouse in so many ways. Your HEALTH is your greatest WEALTH. Without it you have nothing! When was the last time you invested in YOU? Health is beyond the physical. It starts with the spiritual, extends to the mental & emotional which affects the physical, relational & financial. True Health is Holistic and Natural! 🌀
Be a freakin savage about your health. Be kind and give yourself grace in the process, but be a SAVAGE. In this unhealthy world we have to be gritty about it! 🙌🏼
Today, choose to make an investment in your greatest asset, YOU. YOUR HEALTH..... That will reap great dividends for generations. Your health is your greatest asset, really think about it! People are NOT living longer, they're dying longer. Our quality of life has decreased and We deserve better!! 🌿
Start with simple things. Drinking more water, daily movement and proper rest, eating more color, etc.....🍃
