Eula Faye Miller

Eula Faye Miller, born Eula Faye Taylor, on January 17, 1936, in Clarke County, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2025, in Gulf Breeze, Florida, at the age of 89, after a 4+ year battle with Alzheimer's Disease.

Eula Faye's early years were spent in Meridian, Mississippi, where she attended South Side Elementary School, Kate Griffin Jr. High School, and Meridian High School. Her life took a significant turn during her senior year of high school following the death of her mother, Lucy Taylor (nee Boles), on September 16, 1953. Shortly thereafter, she married Billy E. Miller, on October 17, 1953. The couple welcomed their first Child, Rick E. Miller, on November 12, 1954. Despite the challenges of young motherhood and personal loss, Eula Faye later returned to her education and proudly earned her HSED degree from Meridian Junior College.

Throughout her professional life, Eula Faye was known for her dedication and strong work ethic. She worked for many years as a Seamstress at Burnley Shirt Factory in Meridian, Mississippi. Later in her career, she held a supervisory role at Peavey Electronics in Meridian - a position that reflected both her leadership skills and commitment to excellence.

Eula Faye shared a loving marriage with her husband Billy, from their marriage on October 17, 1953, until his sudden passing on July 17, 1984. Their bond was marked by shared joys and family adventures. One of their favorite pastimes was water-skiing - a hobby that brought the entire family together. Though she never learned to swim, despite many attempts, Eula Faye became an avid and skilled water-skier. She often joked that thanks to the ski-vest she wore while skiing, if she ever fell (which wasn't often), she'd "pop up like a cork," undeterred by her inability to swim.

Several years after Billy's passing, Eula Faye made the decision to relocate from Meridian to Pensacola, Florida. This move allowed her to be closer to her daughter, Dee Tinsley, and to her grandchildren, Derek and Lauren Tinsley - relationships that brought great joy and meaning to her, her daughter, and her grandchildren, for years to come.

Eula Faye is lovingly remembered by her son Dr. Rick E. Miller, and his wife, Lisa Miller (nee Markey), of Pensacola, FL; daughter Dee Tinsley, and her husband, John Tinsley, of Pensacola, FL; grandchildren Derek Tinsley, of Tampa, FL; Lauren Tinsley, of Pensacola, FL; Tess Miller, of Oshkosh, WI; and Logan Miller, of Chicago, IL; and great-granddaughters Adeline Tinsley and Eleanor Tinsley, of Tampa and Gulf Breeze, FL. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Billy E. Miller; father, Oscar Taylor; and mother, Lucy Taylor (nee Boles).

A Memorial Gathering was held on July 26, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Lauren's house, in Pensacola, FL. This was a small informal gathering of immediate family, from Pensacola, and other parts of Florida, to memorialize Eula Faye's life.

Eula Faye's memory will live on through the generations of family who cherished her presence and through those who were touched by her strength of spirit and unwavering devotion to those she loved.

An additional Graveside Service will be held on September 17, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, 7774A Hwy 39 North, in Meridian, MS. Per her wishes, Eula Faye was cremated, on 07/28/25, in Pensacola, FL, and this service is for internment of her remains next to those of her beloved husband, Billy E. Miller, in the city (Meridian, MS) where they, and their children, lived most of their lives together.
