And it’s probably controlling your life right now.

These are the most common symptoms I see in my clients. But tbh, it can be easily fixable!

High cortisol = low progesterone

Manage your stress (internally and externally) and your progesterone can recover.

1. Insomnia- trouble sleeping or staying asleep
2. Headaches- right before cycle start
3. Irregular cycles- usually starts with shorter cycles but eventually moves to skipped cycles
4. Anxiety- more anxiety or low mood right before cycle
5. Intense PMS- emotional, cramping, low energy all in the luteal phase

These are my most shared secrets

Estrogen dominance has become such a common problem.

It’s wild to me that these tips are not protocol, yet birth control is.

Let me save you from that trap and try these instead.

1. Cruciferous veggies- they are liver detoxing and your liver is responsible for clearing out excess estrogen. Think broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels, etc.

2. Probiotics- once your liver processes out excess estrogen, it’s then your gut’s responsibility to excrete it from the body. If we don’t have healthy bowel movements, you actually reabsorb this estrogen and turn it into the toxic version of itself. Lean into sauerkraut or kimchi

3. Protein- a dysregulated blood sugar = high cortisol = low progesterone = high estrogen.

If you have poor digestion, your body cannot adequately excrete estrogen or other toxins.

Hence, estrogen dominance and inflammation overload.

These consistent habits have helped me so much though and I regularly suggest them to my own clients 🫶🏽

1. High protein and fiber diet
2. Lemon/salt water first thing in AM
3. Collagen in your coffee
4. Fermented foods
5. Pre/Probiotic supplement
6. Movement post-meals

If I could tell you one thing that would fix your hormones, it would be this ☝🏽

Our adrenal function has a huge impact on our hormones/inflammation/overall health. The adrenals main job is to regulate cortisol and blood sugar levels.

So, if you can balance your blood sugar, you change your hormones.

Here are my top tips to balance your blood sugar so you can eat foods like this with minimal impact!

1. Eat more protein than you eat carbs (but don’t cut carbs completely)
2. Eat regularly, every 3-4 hours. DO NOT SKIP MEALS
3. Eat your protein first at every meal
4. If you choose to have something you know will spike your BG, eat a few bites of protein first
5. Stay well hydrated so your blood is not concentrated with sugar

None of these even suggest giving up your favorite foods. It’s more about how you decide to eat them! Support your body first so you can live your life and not feel restricted 🤟🏽
