Our monthly Chef's Corner was amazing!

Chef Angie made CHOCOLATE COVERED FROZEN STRAWBERRIES & CREAM CLUSTERS!!!

She talked us thru how she prepares this delectable treat while showing us the steps. Knowing how our tasty treats are made helps us associate the fun of food with the experience of eating and enjoying it.

We ended National Activity Professionals Week with a very special Spirit Day, as well!
Compliment Day was featured with a personal compliment for each resident, made by our amazing volunteer!
We also has live music from our friend J.Jay Brooke! He is always a hit here, and we were so happy to sing along and dance to our favorite tunes.
What an amazing week and we can't wait to see what the Life Enrichment Activities Department has in store for us THIS week!

Happy National Activity Professionals Week!
Meet Thomas, our Certified Activity Professional and the amazing people from the Life Enrichment Activities Department! Thomas says his job is "...so rewarding because we get to plan fun games and events, hand out tasty treats, soothe those that need a hand to hold, do crafts, and make lots of friends. The best part is that I get to do it EVERYDAY!"

It takes a special person with a big heart to work in this facility, and we are thankful for Thomas, Autumn, Nancy, and the volunteers thay make this job possible. Thomas would also like to thank the entire staff from Aviva Merrillville for helping make every day a blessing.

Aviva Merrillville hosted our Craft-A-Palooza today! We had a great time chatting with friends and getting to unleash our artistic talents. Our awesome Life Enrichment team knows how to have a messy fun time!
