I'm curious? What is your gift that you tucked away somewhere that Yah will bring out when you least expect it? I come from a family of women who crafted. They sew, knit, and crochet etc.
My grandma and mom taught me to do all those things. One day I think my mom asked if I wanted to learn to sew. I said, "yes". She sat me down with a pattern and sewing machine and that was it. I fell in love with the art.
Sewing was my food. I could sew for hours and not be hungry. Content in my own world. As an adult I'd make my own clothes, some children's clothes, friends clothes and I'd be so happy with the finished project.
That must be how Yah felt when He created. He created, looked at it and said that's good. He kept going and going until everything was complete and on the 7th day he finally rested.
I just picked up sewing because my son wanted to learn how to meet a need in our community. That same seed my mom sowed in me has been passed down to one who wanted it.
Teaching him got me back doing the art that I so much loved. Again I am sewing for hours meeting people's need and loving it.
I look back on my life and remember how trim I used to be. I'm sure many people say that. Now working a sedentary job that I have to choose to get up and move vs staying in a chair because im tired. In an area where you look a bit silly to others because you care about your health and want change.
Tapping back into my passion has quickly made a significant change in how I feel. I've even noticed a change in the numbers on the scale going in the right direction.
Many people think that your primary nutrition is the food that you eat but that's secondary to Relationships, Spirtuality, Career, and Physical Actvity.
I'm so thankful that I'm plugged back in to my primary food. Again, so many people are suffering, dying, and letting go of their dreams because the job that they are on is paying the bills and buying their wants. They are not happy, in toxic environments and settling for what?
It is written: I call Heaven and Earth to witness against you today: I place before you Life and Death, Blessing and Curse. Choose life so that you and your children will live. And love God , your God, listening obediently to him, firmly embracing him. Oh yes, he is life itself, a long life settled on the soil that God , your God, promised to give your ancestors, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
Deuteronomy 30:19-20
Today I'm choosing the gift of life and those things that prosper my soul. Enjoy your Passover Holy Days!
