Perfect attendance is not a parenting trophy.

Some of yall treat school attendance like it is a competition.

Like missing one day means your child failed.
Like dragging a sick, exhausted kid to school somehow proves you are a better parent.

That mindset is strange.

If my child is sick, they stay home.
If they are overwhelmed, they stay home.
If they need a reset, they stay home.

School matters.

But so does mental health.
So does rest.
So does listening to your body.

Teaching kids to ignore exhaustion just to check a box teaches them one thing.

Push through no matter how you feel.

That is not discipline.

That is how burnout starts early.

Some of yall are raising kids like they are employees with attendance records.
