Blessed Be this Body,
For She is the Representative of my Soul.
This Body is the Temple that my Soul calls home.
It is at Her feet I show my devotion to the Spirit that resides beneath Her skin,
Infuses Her bones with Support,
Caresses Her muscles with Strength and Flexibility,
Fills Her Heart with Love and Joy.
This day I shall bring Gifts to this Temple
Of slow, sweet awakening, delicious foods, cleansing rituals,
I shall anoint Her with soothing oils, and
Complete tasks to make Her environment more comfortable.
I shall adorn Her with my favorite clothing and jewelry, tend to Her hair, skin, and nails, accentuating Her Beauty to share with the world.
I shall nourish Her with foods that I prepare with Love,
Filled with all of the nutrients she needs to sustain, with clean water, herbal teas, fresh fruits and vegetables of the Earth.
I shall move her gently and with Grace,
So that the blood that is Her LifeWater may flow with ease.
I shall listen when She tells me She needs to rest, and make space for Her needs before any other.
I shall bring Her to where She may experience may sensual Joys-
The glorious sound of lovely music,
The enveloping fragrance of blooming flowers,
The deliciousness of simple foods,
The soft smoothness of freshly washed sheets,
The incredible beauty of my child's smile.
I shall never judge Her movements,
I shall never consider Her "less than",
For She is what my Spirit has chosen
To walk through this Life with, at this time.
I shall listen to Her, and find the ways that will allow Her to express
All That Is, Her deepest, hidden Knowledge.
Sky above me,
Sea surrounds me,
Earth beneath my feet,
Unified in the Fire of Divinity,
These Holy realms make Sacred my Life,
I shall hold this Flame within my Heart,
And from their Circle never depart.
Within this Circle I am filled with the Gratitude-
Blessed Be this Body, For She is the Temple of my Soul!

Lakota Phrase: Mitákuye Oyás’iŋ (Mee-tah-koo-yay O-yah-seen)

The phrase translates in English as "all my relatives," "we are all related," or "all my relations." It is a prayer of oneness and harmony with all forms of life: other people, animals, birds, insects, trees and plants, and even rocks, rivers, mountains and valleys.

Share this with good people.

Kids keep telling me their fear about 2012, the end of the world where everything burns and everyone dies!

I know a lot of people believe this so I may step on a few toes when I say that's Not Going to Happen.

The Anishinaabe have something called the Seven Prophecies or Seven Fires. In the seventh, the people are returning to their traditions, the elders are waking up their old knowledge and the old ways, but they have to be invited to speak and must be treated with dignity and respect.

If enough people seek a renewal, if enough people seek to find harmony and balance then this will be the energy needed to light the 8th Fire.

The 8th Fire is when we as a human family finally find enlightenment. It's when the world as we know it *now* comes to an end. What arises is a new way of living, a new way of interacting with the plants, the animals, and all our relations.

So in a way, I guess 2012 could mark the end of the world, this world of hatred, violence, poverty and greed.

And who would mourn for that passing? Who would be afraid?

I love this prophecy and it has come to be embraced by many nations.

I believe that the 8th Fire is already starting.

I believe that a lot of the people reading these words have already begun to feel that flame flicker to life within themselves.

I believe that you are one of those people.

Be honest, be respectful, be good to your body, and be kind to others.

Stand, Speak, Share.

Let the light of your truth shine from you and let the fire spread.

It will never burn you, it will only warm you and light your way.
