I just completed training in Indian Head Massage

Before I can officially offer sessions, I’ll be completing my practice hours…..but I’m already so excited to bring this beautiful therapy to you.

Indian Head Massage focuses on the head, neck, face, and shoulders—areas where we hold so much stress—and works to:

• Relieve tension & headaches
•Calm the nervous system
• Improve circulation to the scalp
• Support better sleep
• Easing of eye strain and sinus congestion
• Increased hair growth and luster
• Promote mental clarity & relaxation

It’s a powerful yet gentle way to reset both body and mind.

I always say the feet and head are most important area’s to work.

I will be offering this session alone (30-45 minutes) and also as an add on to any session.

I’m thinking a combination session of reflexology and Indian Head massage (60 or 90 minutes) sounds amazing.

If you’d be interested in being a practice client, let me know. I would like to see you at least 1x a week for 3 weeks.

I can’t wait to share this with you!

Why VOICE should be part of any health routine.

Singing could be one of the best bio-hacks you can access.

Humming, chanting and singing are known for example to improve your vagal tone. That’s a huge benefit to start. However if we follow the anatomy there is a really interesting added benefit that our anatomy is hinting at.

See how the vagus nerve sends a branch down to loop around the aorta of the heart? It then slings around and back up to the larynx.

Seems like an inefficient pathway to take, but if we look at some high school physics there could be a very good reason.

When an electric current flows through a conductor, it creates a magnetic field around the conductor.

The magnetic field forms a series of loops around the coil, often represented by lines of force.

It is highly unlikely in any case that there is not benefit to this setup.

In many cultures, chanting is deeply rooted in spiritual practices. It is considered a way to connect with the divine, seek spiritual enlightenment, or express devotion.

Places of worship are often built with principles of resonance.

Chanting in a group can create a powerful collective energy. The synchronized chanting of a mantra or prayer can create a sense of unity among participants. This shared energy can be palpable and is believed to amplify the individual and collective intentions of the group.

When toning the vagus nerve, there seems to be levels of benefits that can be achieved.

For example poor vagal tone can be associated with low thyroid and a hoarse voice due to the proximity of the nerve and gland.

Does singing help release thyroid hormones? That would be interesting.

The very first levels may be better gut health, breathing, and better energy levels. But when we learn to tone the back of the tongue during a full swallow motion, for example, vagal tone can be dramatically further engaged.

As control of breath and laryngeal muscles are engaged, the resonance of the voice seems to be able to harness a powerful magnetic source that can affect an entire crowd of people around you.

Does singing in the shower make you feel different in any way?

Feeling stress in your stomach? Try this simple DIY foot reflexology technique

If you ever feel those “jitters” in your belly or wake up with that heavy, knotted feeling in your stomach… your body is talking to you.

Here is a simple reflexology technique that gently “walks” across the reflex area to support bringing your body into balance and inducing a feeling of ease and calmness.

Use your thumb and inch it forward in small, caterpillar-like movements…Don’t slide…… press, then move forward slightly.

Reflexologists call it thumb walking.

Work slowly along the arch of your foot (instep area) the soft, non-weight-bearing area along the arch. (Both feet)

This helps stimulate and activate the stomach and digestive reflexes

Think of it as waking up the area and encouraging movement.

Then you can also use a press and hold technique,

Use your thumb to apply gentle, steady pressure.

Find a tender or tight spot in the arch

Press gently with your thumb

Hold steady pressure for 30–60 seconds

Breathe slowly while holding

You can also press in and make small circular moves.

*******************************************
This area may help:

-Ease that “gut-wrenching” tension we hold when emotions build up.

-Release tension

-Calm the nervous system

-Relieve that “knot in your stomach” feeling

******************************************
Start with thumb walking to warm up the area, then finish with a few press-and-holds on any sensitive spots.

Use this technique on yourself or a partner, children love it when they have an upset belly or anxiety.

This is not intended to be a substitute for medical advice. Always work within comfort levels. Reflexology does not have to be painful to be effective.

It is Simple. Balancing. Effective
& something you can do anytime your stomach feels off.
