Happy IBCLC Day to the curious, the advocate, the courageous, the supportive and the patient individual I witness in each of the brilliant providers I am honored to call colleagues.

An International Board Certified Lactation Consultant is a perinatal professional who provides care and support, upholding the goals of the family as they nourish their baby. Often found holding the mother, an IBCLC embraces the full circle of care of establishing and maintaining one’s milk production through breastfeeding, pumping, solid food learning, separation - due to employment or medical complexities, donation of milk, weaning and perhaps beginning again for the very personal reasons shared in consultation.

Nourishing your baby is a sacred and personal path ~ one which is an honor to accompany families on their journey. Today we celebrate a member of the team whose contributions are plentiful in homes, hospitals, birthing centers, clinics, educational and research facilities and communities across the globe advancing awareness and support of human lactation…together!
