Balancing the sensory room is all about intention. 💡

Lauren shares how we thoughtfully manage the sensory room at Valley Pediatric ABA so every child gets the support they need. As a smaller clinic, we intentionally schedule time in the sensory space and often encourage multiple children to be in there together. This allows us to support regulation while also building important social skills in a natural way.

It’s all about creating the right environment for learning, connection, and growth. ✨

Transitions can be tough - especially when a child is having fun in the sensory gym 💙

Lauren is answering one of our most common questions: How do kids transition out of the sensory gym?

At Valley Pediatric ABA, two of the biggest tools we use are timers and visual schedules.

⏱️ Timers help children clearly understand when an activity is coming to an end. Instead of a sudden stop, they get a predictable warning and time to prepare.

📋 Visual schedules show what’s happening now and what’s coming next. When children can see the plan, it reduces anxiety and builds independence.

Transitions don’t have to be overwhelming. With the right supports in place, they can be smooth, predictable, and empowering.

Our clinic turned into a real-life Bluey Marketplace and we are obsessed 💙

Our amazing Clinic Coordinator transformed Valley Pediatric ABA into the cutest Bluey-themed space, and of course we had to join the fun with our Bluey shirts! The smiles, imagination, and excitement from our kiddos made it even more special.

We had the BEST time at the Autism Research Walk this Saturday at the Phoenix Zoo 💙🦒

Seeing our Valley Pediatric ABA families out there, walking together, supporting autism research, and building community meant so much to us. The smiles, the high-fives, the kiddos spotting animals, and the meaningful conversations — it was truly a day to remember.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support autism awareness and research. We loved meeting so many of you in person and celebrating the incredible kids and families we serve every day. 💙
