The ultimate weekend takeover! Our Family Spring Fling brought four generations together for a morning of absolute nonstop action. Residents completely led the charge, showing the grandkids and great grandkids exactly how to dominate the egg hunt and conquer the arts and crafts tables. We also brought in incredibly fluffy English Angora therapy bunnies that totally stole the show! Watching our community light up with laughter and create amazing memories with their families is what we are all about.

There is nothing quite like the joy of discovering a beautiful new spot with your best friends! ☕ Residents across all our care levels took a special bus trip to visit Cup of Joey, and we were instantly greeted by the friendliest cyclists outside. Steve, the owner from Australia, has created such a bright and cheerful cafe filled with charming Aussie decor and the cutest kangaroo logo. Seeing the cozy chalkboard wall for kids made it feel so incredibly welcoming for all generations. We absolutely loved it and cannot wait to go back!

Our hearts are so full after celebrating a very special 83rd birthday! 💚 We honored resident Jane and her beautiful Irish roots this past Thursday with a delightful trip to see Stilicho. Watching the gentlemen in their Peaky Blinders caps play traditional Irish sea shanties and folk music classics brought so much joy to the afternoon. We truly felt like we had been transported from Mesa right to Dublin! We are officially geared up for St. Patrick's Day today. Slainte!

Our new resident Aggie took her very first outing with us this past weekend to the annual Hungarian Heritage Festival in Phoenix! Raised by Slovak parents who spoke Hungarian, Aggie loved tasting the familiar stuffed cabbage, goulash, and pastries. The traditional dancing, singing, and gypsy music lifted our minds and souls all the way to Hungary. Between the embroidery exhibits, a Rubik's cube expert, and a beautiful parade of vizslas, it was another great outing for the memory bank!

Our Las Palomas resident Viv invited her daughter Kathy to join us for a wonderful outing to the Apache Junction Library Native American Flute Festival! Kathy has been learning to play the flute herself and was thrilled to see the incredibly talented performers. We listened to everything from original bird inspired compositions to Led Zeppelin renditions and even reggae beats. Viv also bought Kathy a beautiful handmade pouch from the local vendors to support her new musical passion. It was an absolutely delightful day of family bonding and incredible music!

Our Las Palomas residents are avid theatre fans! Every single month, they love going to see Jane's granddaughter, Brianna, dance and sing her heart out at the Hale Centre Theatre productions in Gilbert. After every show, Brianna comes right onto our community bus for a special meet and greet with her official Las Palomas fan club. This month, she starred in Guys and Dolls! It is so rewarding for the residents to get their theatre fix while supporting family. She always gets the biggest cheers and standing ovations from our crew, and we already have tickets to her next two shows. Break a leg, Brianna!

Fulfilling bucket list dreams is a beautiful part of our vibrant independent living experience. Our resident Jane, originally from Detroit, had never experienced a true western rodeo. To celebrate our local culture, we arranged a trip down the road to the Apache Junction Lost Dutchman Days Rodeo. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Superstition Springs Mountains, Jane enjoyed a full day of classic events including steer wrestling, calf roping, and barrel racing. Seeing her smile ear to ear and call it a great day is exactly why we prioritize these highly engaging community outings.

Some days are simply magic! 💛 Judi had a heartfelt bucket list wish to spend the afternoon with horses and relive her childhood memories. Our wonderful friend Angie from Savior Hospice and Palliative Care made this dream come true by inviting Judi to visit her quarter horse, Kumu. Judi spent a delightful afternoon observing Kumu train, petting her during bath time, and helping prepare her feed. Watching Judi wander through the stables to greet every single horse was a beautiful and unforgettable experience for everyone involved.

Engaging physical programming keeps our community moving and thriving. Inspired by the 2026 Olympics, our Legacy therapists coordinated our very own winter games! Residents competed in a snowball throw competition, carpet hockey, and a unique ski slalom relay that combined physical agility with the cognitive task of dressing for the slopes. The enthusiastic flag waving and cheers created a wonderful, supportive environment where everyone felt like a gold medal winner.

Did you know Fountain Hills, AZ, is home to the highest single spray fountain in the country? ⛲ We loved taking in the sights at the biannual Fountain Hills Art Festival. Loran, our resident photo-enthusiast, found a great stack of desert landscape photos for his apartment, while Marian, a former art teacher and contemporary painter, enjoyed watching the artists at work. We can't wait to return to this art-lover's paradise in the fall!

Caregiving isn't just a job; it's a calling. To our amazing team: thank you for the laughter you share, the comfort you bring, and the love you pour into your work. You turn neighbors into family and houses into homes. We see your kindness, and we are endlessly grateful for you.

We are kicking off the 2026 Lunar New Year with culture and cuisine! 🧧 Our residents visited the Phoenix Art Museum to explore a magnificent Asian art exhibit, featuring incredible works by female artists. We had a blast photographing the art and imagining which pieces we would take home! To top off the day, we enjoyed a fusion dinner with eel sushi, egg rolls, and plenty of noodles for good luck. 🍜
