🌟 Milestone Pediatrics Food Drive — Supporting Our Families in Need 🌟

As many of our families continue to face challenges due to recent changes in benefits, we’re coming together to make a difference. ❤️

Milestone Pediatrics is hosting a Food Drive to support our families and community members in need. Every donation, big or small, helps put food on the table for those who need it most 🫶🏽

📅 Food Drive Dates:
November 3rd-20th

📍 Drop-off Location:
Reception Area at Milestone Pediatrics Clinics. Please contact our Therapy Coordinator, Miss Helen Velasquez at Helen@Milestoneaz.com for any questions you have.

🛒 We’re collecting non-perishable food items such as:
🔸Canned vegetables and fruits
🔸Canned beans (black, kidney, chickpeas, etc.)
🔸Canned meats (tuna, chicken, salmon)
🔸Peanut butter and jelly
🔸Rice and pasta
🔸Pasta sauce (non-glass containers preferred)
🔸Boxed meals (mac & cheese, instant noodles)
🔸Shelf-stable milk or milk alternatives
🔸Cereals and oatmeal
🔸Granola bars or snack packs

🌟 Milestone Moments – Superheroes & Chili Cook Off! 🌶🫛🥕🫘🦸‍♂️🦸‍♀️
This past few weeks at Milestone Pediatrics was nothing short of AMAZING! 💫 We had two unforgettable events that brought so much joy to our kiddos, families, and team — our Superhero Week and our Chili Cook-Off!

From tiny capes to big smiles, our clients and staff truly embodied the spirit of superheroes. 🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️ Watching our kiddos light up while dressing up and participating reminded us all why we do what we do. Their strength, resilience, and joy are what real superpowers look like. 💙❤️💛

A HUGE thank you to our dedicated and creative staff who not only dressed up to spread smiles, but also cooked up some mouthwatering chili! From spicy to sweet, traditional to totally unique — every pot was made with love. 🫘🍲

In our eyes, EVERYONE was a winner — because the heart behind each costume and each bowl of chili was what truly made the week special.
Thank you to our amazing families and team for making these moments possible. Here’s to more events that celebrate joy, community, and the incredible kids we’re lucky to serve. 💛🧡💚

🎵 Now Hiring: Music Therapist (MT-BC) – Part-Time Milestone Pediatrics, Mesa, AZ 🎵

Milestone Pediatrics is a dynamic and rapidly expanding Speech, Occupational, and Physical Therapy practice dedicated to supporting children and adults with developmental disabilities. We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) to join our interdisciplinary team in person at our West Mesa clinic (Alma School & US-60). This is a part-time W2 position with opportunities for full time😊

🎶 Key Responsibilities:
*Conduct individualized music therapy assessments and develop tailored care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
*Design and implement music therapy interventions using diverse genres and evidence-based methodologies.
*Guide patients in therapeutic musical activities to enhance mental and physical function and overall quality of life.
*Collaborate with caregivers and team members to integrate music into daily routines and care goals.
*Monitor progress and evaluate the effectiveness of therapy, adjusting plans as needed.
*Maintain accurate documentation through daily notes and quarterly reports.
*Support onboarding of new patients, including sign-ups and consent processes.
*Conclude therapy services appropriately when goals are met or transitions occur.

📘 Qualifications
*Bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy from an accredited institution.
*MT-BC certification from the Certification Board for Music Therapists.
*Prior experience working with individuals receiving services through the Division of Developmental *Disabilities (DDD) is highly preferred.
*Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in clinical or residential settings.
*Capacity to mentor peers and contribute to a supportive team culture.

What an unforgettable weekend with our amazing team of admins and therapists! This year’s retreat was truly something special. We were honored to have incredible therapist speakers who shared their knowledge and passion — we learned so much from them and left feeling inspired and recharged! 💡👏🏽

The food was absolutely delicious 🍽️, the team-building games had us laughing and bonding 🤝🎉, and the energy all weekend long was full of joy, support, and community.
