Traveling with your wigs or toppers this season? ✈️💁🏼‍♀️
Here are a few easy tips to keep your pieces safe, smooth, and beautiful on the go:
✨ Packing Tips
• Use a travel stand or fold your wig inside out and place it in a silk/satin bag.
• Keep pieces in a protective bag or box so they don’t get crushed.
• Bring your essentials: wide-tooth comb, clips, mini detangler, serum for human hair.
• Soft waves or straight styles travel best!
🧳 Flying? Don’t Stress TSA!
You can absolutely wear your wig or topper through security—TSA sees alternative hair every day.
• Metal clips won’t set off alarms
• You won’t be asked to remove your wig
• If a pat-down is ever needed, you can request a private room
• Always pack extra wigs/toppers in your carry-on (never checked luggage)
🏨 Hotel Tip:
Set wigs on a travel stand at night and use cool airflow only if you need a quick refresh.

WIG MISTAKE: Stretching & Ripping the Lace

Here’s How to Fix It!
If you’ve ever noticed tiny tears, frayed edges, or early wear on your lace front… you’re not alone.

The #1 mistake we see is stretching the lace while putting wigs or toppers on (or taking them off).

Good news? It’s totally preventable.

How to Protect Your Lace Every Single Time:

Hold the Ear Tabs, NOT the Lace
When you’re putting your piece on, your hands should never pull on the lace. Hold the ear tabs or the sides of the cap instead. They’re built for grip, your lace isn’t.

Glide, Don’t Yank
Place the wig on your forehead, then gently glide it back into place. No tugging, no snapping, no stretching.

Remove Slowly
When taking it off, lift from the ear tabs and ease the lace forward. A calm removal makes all the difference for long-term wear.

Use Your Tools
If you’re using clips or combs on toppers, release them gently, never twist or pull them against the lace.

Treat Lace Like Delicate Fabric
Because it is! A little gentleness goes a long way in preserving your investment.

Your lace should last, and with the right technique, it absolutely will.
