Little Jacob suffered severe burns after falling into a fire pit in Wabuku Village. In that remote community, Jason and Laken Cizdziel with Ethnos360 faithfully serve the people of the village, caring for both physical needs and sharing the hope of the Gospel. When Jacob was injured, they reached out to us for help.
Working together, we were able to help provide immediate triage in the village, and the following day our team flew out to bring Jacob to the hospital so he could receive the care he urgently needed. What began as a frightening accident slowly became a story of healing. After weeks of treatment, Jacob has made a strong recovery and is now back to being a playful little boy again.
This family’s story with Samaritan Aviation actually began just six months earlier. Jacob’s mother had been flown to the hospital while suffering from tuberculosis during her pregnancy. By God’s grace, she also made a full recovery and later delivered a healthy baby, Jacob’s little sibling.
We are grateful for the faithful work of missionaries like Jason and Laken who live and serve in remote villages every day. Partnerships like this make it possible for families in some of the most isolated places in Papua New Guinea to receive life-saving care when emergencies happen.
