Stories Counseling is dissolving into 2 separate therapy practices
 
2 new chapters, same heart.
 
After years of serving our community together, Stories Counseling is evolving into two separate practices:
Reclaim Counseling Services and
Lost & Found Counseling.
 
This change allows each practice to grow in its own direction while continuing the same mission: compassionate, professional, and clinical care.
 
Nothing is lost; every story continues.
 
If you’ve been referred to a specific therapist or are continuing care, you can easily connect through their new practice. We’re here to make sure your transition is seamless, and your therapy experience remains consistent and supported.
 
Your story still matters here; it’s just finding the right chapter.
 
1. Simply select the website for the practice that is the best fit
2. Complete the contact form there. (or call their main line)
3. The practice manager at that new site will reach out to help get you connected and scheduled.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy recognizes that every person has a system of internal parts, each with its own feelings, roles, and intentions. Among these, protector parts play a crucial role: they work hard to shield us from pain, vulnerability, or perceived threats—often by managing emotions, controlling behavior, or preventing access to wounded parts within.

Though their methods may sometimes feel extreme or self-sabotaging, protectors operate from a place of care, seeking to maintain safety and stability. In IFS, the goal is not to eliminate protector parts, but to help them trust the Self—the calm, compassionate core within—so they can release their burdens and allow for healing to unfold naturally.

📣 Welcome our new practice manager, Ashley 📣

We are beyond excited to share about Ashley and how she is bringing her beautiful gifts and energy to the Stories team! Ashley is studying in the counseling field and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to helping support clients, our staff and our office.

Being a therapist is a job in itself, so someone pulling together all the pieces, supporting the back end and doing all the clerical tasks were typically not great at is truly a gift and we couldn’t do it without someone holding this space. She will be the one from start to finish helping connect anyone needing support with the perfect fit for therapy and we are beyond grateful to have her!
