Agave Ridge Behavioral Hospital offers a premier inpatient treatment program for individuals who are living with addictions, mental health concerns, and co-occurring disorders. Behavioral health concerns we treat include depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorder, psychosis, self-harming behaviors, and suicidal ideation. We proudly provide age-appropriate, individualized care, with comprehensive programs available for adolescents ages 11-17, adults age 18 and older, and older adults age 55 and older. At Agave Ridge Behavioral Hospital, we offer a healing environment where individuals can step away from the stressors of their daily lives and focus on making positive, long-term changes. Patients at our inpatient hospital can benefit from 24/7 support and a secure treatment setting designed with their comfort in mind. Our 100-bed treatment center features natural light throughout, five units, tranquil outdoor courtyards, and the latest in safety technology. Each patient receives a customized treatment plan that outlines elements of their care. Depending on the needs of each person, their inpatient treatment plan may include on-site medical detox services, medication management services, medical care, and group therapy sessions. Group counseling is the main method of treatment in the inpatient program, and sessions are offered daily. During group therapy, patients can develop crucial coping strategies while exploring a variety of topics, including relapse prevention, education, goal setting, and life skills. Inpatient programming is led by our compassionate and dynamic team of professionals. Our expert staff includes psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, licensed clinical social workers, behavioral health specialists, licensed professional counselors, and licensed practical nurses. If you can benefit from round-the-clock care and intensive support for acute concerns, please reach out to our team today. Prospective patients may begin the admissions process by contacting our intake staff. We are available 24/7 to conduct a no-cost screening, which can help us determine whether the inpatient program is right for you and connect you with the care you need quickly.

February is National Recreation Therapy Month! Meet our Recreation Therapy team, doing the things they love. Meet, McKenna, Rinda, Christa & Haley.

Recreational Therapy is an essential part of treatment at Agave Ridge for both adults and adolescents. Through daily structured activities—such as creative art, movement, games, expression through music, coping-skills groups, and leisure education—patients learn practical tools to manage stress, regulate emotions, and build healthy routines in a supportive environment.

For adolescents, Recreational Therapy provides a safe, developmentally appropriate way to express emotions, practice social skills, and build confidence while rediscovering joy and creativity during treatment. For adults, RT supports emotional regulation, stress reduction, communication, and the development of healthy leisure skills that promote long-term recovery.

By turning therapy into meaningful, hands-on experiences, our Recreation Therapists help patients strengthen coping skills, improve mood, increase motivation, and reconnect with themselves and others—supporting healing not just during hospitalization, but well beyond discharge.

Congratulations to our All Star, Nurse Manager Veronica!

Spotlight:

What made you get into behavioral health?
I acutally got into behavioral health from a friend who told me to try it. I fell in love with it.

If you could have any superpower, what would you choose? And why?
My superpower would to have the power to clone myself so I can be in another place at the same time. Being able to help multiple patients and staff all at once.

What is your favorite vacation spot?
I dont really have a favorite vacation spot but I would love to visit either Spain or Italy when I get the courage to fly.

We appreciate you Veronica!
