17 years ago my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer. One year later, after treatment, surgery, chemo and radiation, to show a gratitude for her recovery we walked the three day walk together with some friends. Initially in San Diego and then in Phoenix. I did this for a couple of years but Lisa continue to do it yearly. To show my support I would dress up like a gorilla and cheer for her and the other walkers. My children also got involved dressing up like gorillas and singing and cheering. We also started The Huff Haunted House, which many of you came to. We called it Scare for the Cure. We Asked for a small donation which we gave to breast cancer charities.
In honor of my wife I have decided to do the three day walk this September in Chicago. They no longer do it in Phoenix. Part of the event is Fundraising to raise $2300 for the cause. If you would like to support me in this venture you can make a tax deductible donation to the link below.

It is with great sadness that we share that our founder, colleague, doctor and friend Dr. Lisa Rose Huff passed away on the evening of Tuesday June 7, 2022 after a long hard battle with metastatic breast cancer. She had a huge impact on ourselves, our patients and many others whose lives she touched. She will be terribly missed by all who have had the pleasure to know her, work along side her and simply just be apart of her life.

We, at Desert Rose, are doing everything possible to protect you when you are visiting our office. We have instituted many temporary policies for your safety.

1. Only patients will be allowed to enter into the office for their visit. Family members should wait in the car. This policy applies to ultrasound visits as well.

2. Seating is spaced throughout the waiting area at 10 feet intervals to avoid contact with other patients.

3. Our staff will be wearing masks to protect you from getting exposed from us.

4. Patient temperatures will be taken before being roomed. If your temperature is greater than 100.2 you will be advised to return home and reschedule. Please do not take this as an insult or personally. This is to protect you and other patients.

Good morning! With new information coming in and everything changing, effective March 27, 2020; Dr. Huff is following the guidelines suggested by Banner Hospitals. No one other than the patient is allowed back in the exam room or allowed to wait in the waiting room.

Good morning! We at Desert Rose would like to inform you all of something new we are starting. With everything going on, your health is important to us, so we have decided to start doing telemedicine through an app on your phone, called Medici: Text your Doctors. This way you can talk and text with your doctor and ask questions without coming into the office if not necessary. We also plan to use this to do post-partum, lab follow-up, birth control visits or any other short visits during this time.

You can download the app from either the App Store or Google Play. Once downloaded follow the prompts. To connect with your doctors you enter their name and enter their code:

Good morning! Our main priority at Desert Rose is our patients’ health, so during this time we ask that all our patients bring only the necessary people to appointments. We please ask that all other family members to stay at home to lower the risk of exposure to other patients as well as ourselves.
