Ever feel like your body is working overtime, even on your “easy” days? 😩 That constant tension might be your tissues holding on instead of letting go.
In physiotherapy we sometimes use cupping to help with that. Instead of pushing in, we create gentle negative pressure that lifts and separates layers of skin, fascia, muscle, and connective tissue. That extra space can help reduce sticky spots, improve circulation, support lymph flow, and calm tissues that won’t quiet down on their own.
We mix up how we move the cups depending on what you need. Longer strokes, cross-fiber work, or circles can all help with stiffness, trigger points, or scar tissue. A lot of people tell us they feel looser and move more freely, even after a short session.
Cupping has a long history with athletes and active folks, and it can be especially helpful when tissues are constantly “on” even with good training and rest.
This isn’t about deeper pressure. It’s about helping your body get the signal to recover.
Cupping is not used over open wounds, infections, burns, or active inflammation. Marks may appear temporarily and fade with time.
