I've already posted on this recently but it bears worth hearing again. Su***de is one of the leading causes of death in America. Let that sink in, when we think about prioritizing research and rich on pharmaceutical or disease research. What are we doing, both individually and as a society, to reduce su***de?

Folks need to be reminded that su***de is one of the leading causes of death in the US. Take care of yourself and those around you.

Between 1999 and 2016, su***de rates increased across age, gender, race and ethnicity.

From 2008 to 2015, the proportion of emergency room and hospital encounters for su***de-related diagnoses almost tripled.

Friends - I operate a suite that offers mental health and counseling services for a variety of populations. We are located a few miles from Power Ranch in Gilbert and are looking for one more licensed therapist who might be seeking to rent office space. The opioid crisis in America doesn't just affect those who become addicted. There are ripple effects. Families, lost productivity, threats to public health, etc. Worst of all, is this disturbing article.

More children are being sent to foster care due to a parent's opioid misuse. Psychologists are ramping up efforts to help.
