SIGN OF A STROKE:
Carla tripped and fell during grilling. I offered to call an ambulance, but she assured everyone she was okay and only tripped over her new shoes. She was a little pale and wobbly; she was helped to clean up and was brought another plate of food. Carla spent the rest of the evening happy and joyful.
Carla's husband later called to say his wife had been taken to the hospital. Carla died at 11pm that night. She had a stroke while grilling. If her friends knew how to interpret the signs of a stroke, Carla might still be alive today. Some people don't die right away. They often stay in a desperate situation.
It only takes 1 minute to read the following... A neurologist said that if he can intervene on a stroke victim within 3 hours, he could reverse the effects. He said the trick would be to recognize a stroke, to diagnose and treat patients within 3 hours, but that's not easy.
Recognizing a stroke: there are four stages to recognize a stroke.
-Ask the person to smile (they won't).
-Ask the person to pronounce a simple sentence (for example: "It's very nice today. ").
-Ask the person to raise both arms (she can’t or only partially).
-Asking the person to stick out their tongue (if the tongue is crooked, twist left and right, is also a sign of a stroke. )
If he or she has problems with one of these steps, call an ambulance immediately and describe the person's symptoms over the phone. A cardiologist said that if as many people as possible become aware of this, we can be certain that any life — maybe even our own — can be saved. We send a lot of “garbage” every day through the network, but sometimes you can get stuck with something significant, like this.
If it's this important to you... copy so it can reach more people who might change the fate of those affected by stroke...

Sharing for alI the people I love and care about who suffer. I see U, I hear & I am here 4 U 💗🙌🏻🙏🏼

Hot tip, if you get into a committed relationship with someone that has chronic health issues please please please understand that that person may not be able to do anything for themselves for weeks to months at a time and a large burden is going to fall on you. Take the time to make sure you're able to handle it before you commit.
I didnt ask for my body to fail.
My favorite quote from my doctor was, “it can’t really be that bad if you are still working and doing everything you do. “ I told him I didn’t know I had a choice. 🤷🏻‍♀️
Years in pain, tired and the many changes in me for no reason or apparent reason ... Hiding everything from someone else, pretending to be doing better than you are; until it no longer works. No matter how strong you want to be.

Then the moment comes when they tell you what you have ... You have mixed feelings: you finally know what you have, but how do you deal with it?
Lack of encouragement, wanting to lie down, taking medication frequently; having a whole pharmacy on top of the nightstand.

Then, the daily responses, "Why did you get so fat?" “I have this great diet, if you just go out and exercised.
That once beautiful hair of yours now awful and it falls out.
What happened to you??....
This is all true and that's why I'm sharing it!

Silent and invisible diseases do exist ...
When you have an invisible disease it is difficult to argue from your perspective with ignorant people.
Life takes a lot of turns !!!

Tired of being told:
* Did you go to the doctor?
* Have you tried this?
* Have you tried that?
* I don’t know what else we can do for you...

Yes! I tried and still try everything !!!
Doctors say this disease is forever. That I will not heal. However, I am not giving up, but I want to make others realize:
* A nap will not cure me but it will help me ...
* I am not lazy, I take medication and it sometimes makes me sleepy.
* I am not angry but sometimes cranky with pain.
* I struggle daily with pain, mobility problems, fatigue, the criticism of my environment.

Most frustratingly, people look at me and say, "It can't be that bad; you look good "
Despite the fact that my body is experiencing excruciating pain everywhere, of course I look good, I always try to look good, it is an "invisible" disease.

This disease affects me physically, mentally and emotionally. Because rare autoimmune diseases cannot be seen, but we feel them.

And they are there ... Silent attack but extra painful.

I AM LOOKING AT THOSE WHO TAKE TIME TO READ THIS POST TO THE END.

I would like 5 of my friends to post (not share) this message to show that you are always there when that someone needs to talk.

In support of a friend, a family member who is fighting any of these diseases. Just say “done”. ❤️ Sadly, we don’t always know the depths of someone’s depression until it is too late. May I please have even 1 friend to copy and re-post? I am trying to demonstrate that someone is listening.

Just one.

For all my fellow LMT'S out there!!!

I saw this from a fellow LMT and think this is worthy of a repost.

A message to general public from a proud LMT-----

I feel it's important to share why situations which insinuate massage therapists equated to s*x workers, even in joking manners, is a significant challenge to we LMTs.
Massage therapy has become a legitimate component of the trillion dollar health care field. Schools, educators, therapists of all types have worked damn hard to earn this credibility.
So every attempt to equate massage therapy to s*x is unwelcome and unappreciated. We have moved beyond the s*x stigma so it's damaging to joke or otherwise perpetuate this archaic notion.
The s*x trade is a completely different environment, involving human trafficking, drugs and immoral folks of all walks of life. The vast majority of women in "parlors" are there *against* their will, forced from families, beaten (or worse) if unable to satisfy the demands of the parlor.
The massage trade involves healing on physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels. Today, massage therapists work with allopathic providers of all types. Many of my peers operate wellness clinics integrating sophisticated pain management techniques within therapeutic sessions. Many other peers work with oncology, behavioral health, chronic illness and medically challenging patients. Still other peers intertwine indigenous healing practices masterfully combining modalities within their massage sessions.
We LMTs are proud of the healing witnessed upon our tables. We serve from a sincere space of integrity.
We LMTs will fight any effort to equate us with s*x trade.
We are as integrated within the greater health care field as any other allopath.
We will continue to provide excellent treatments to those we serve promoting health, healing and wellness in all aspects.
PS---Stop joking about happy endings, just plain stop.
