If your chest tightens or your thoughts race before the week begins — your body isn’t wrong.
It’s remembering what Monday has felt like before.
The tension, the restlessness, the overthinking —
they’re all your nervous system saying,
“Something’s coming. Be ready.”
But what your body really needs

Your nervous system may still be in “protect” mode, scanning for cues that it’s okay to rest.
Before trying to force sleep, help your body feel safe enough to let go:
🌙 Dim the lights early
🌙 Slow your breath
🌙 Feel the weight of your body on the bed
🌙 Notice warmth and softness around you

Instead of fighting it, try noticing it.
Look around and name 5 things you see.
Unclench your jaw.

When the conflict ends, your body may still be holding the echo — the tightness, the shakiness, the fatigue.
That’s not overreacting.
That’s release.
Your nervous system just spent energy protecting you.
Now it needs time to remember safety again.
Try:
💧 Gentle movement — a walk, stretch, or shake out your hands
☀️ Warmth — a blanket, sunlight, or a cup of tea
You don’t have to rush calm.
Let your body land softly.
