Wendy Lai MD Forest Lane Pediatrics in Mesquite In 2021 and 2022, Dr. Lai was named a DFW Mom Approved Pediatrician!

Having trained at a US News and World Report top 3 pediatric hospital, Dr. Lai has the experience and knowledge to help parents comfortably navigate the challenges of keeping their child healthy and safe. From premature infants to adolescents up to age 21, she thrives on building long term relationships with her patients and also the parents as well- because a child’s health is a team effort. Trained to practice evidence based medicine, Dr. Lai practices the latest standards of care as recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics. She considers it a privilege to be trusted to help care for your child, whether it be managing chronic medical conditions like asthma or navigating the ongoing mental health challenges faced by teenagers today. In her spare time, Dr. Lai enjoys mentoring her little sister in the Big Brother, Big Sister program, spending time with her family and her two dogs, and just completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training certification in June 2022! She hopes to be able to incorporate yoga into mental health and lifestyle management for her patients. Experienced with managing premature infants, complex care children, asthma, eczema, newborn care, ADHD, anxiety, depression, abscess and cellulitis, ear infections, STDs, nutrition, respiratory infections and other pediatric related diseases

Baylor College of Medicine: Doctorate of Medicine (2010)
Cincinnati Childrens Hospital: internship and pediatric residency (2013)
Dallas Yoga Center: 200 hour yoga teacher training certification (2022)

It’s sports physical season!

Did you know…insurance companies do not pay for sports physicals? Facilities charge out of pocket for a sports physical exam, BUT if your child is due for an annual exam, this can count as the sports physical as well. Knock out two birds with one stone and avoid the additional sports physical fee!
