“My whole life, I have been on a performance treadmill. Running to get approval and acceptance. When I became a Christian, that trait continued in my life. I thought if I could say the right things, I could finally be accepted by my family in Christ - and by God.
I wanted to be perfect in everything I did. If I couldn’t do something perfectly, I would avoid it. Recently, Pastor Frank was preaching on Salvation. It was in that moment that I realized I had already obtained it and was now walking out my salvation! It is not something I have to earn!
Jesus began to speak to me during the altar call at church. He showed me that I have no control over my situation. But that I am safely in His hands. He just wants me to be still and abide in Him; to love Him and be loved by Him!
Now I can confidently take on things without the need to do everything perfectly! Instead, I can do things in excellence unto Him and even embrace my failures so I can learn from them. I couldnt be happier knowing He has my future in His hands, and it’s going to be better than I can ever perfect, work, or strive for.”
