Did you know that Sundays at The Training Room are for Endurance?

Running, rowing, biking all paired with low weight/ high rep movements that test you physically, yes. But they also test you mentally.

Endurance Sundays aren’t about finishing fast or even finishing at all, but getting outside of your comfort zone and pushing to get a little bit better.

Fitness here is based in functional movement patterns.

What do we mean?

We mean that the exercises we do here will directly translate into feeling strong in all the things you do outside of the gym.

The squat is the perfect example.

Sure, having a strong squat can be beneficial in your athletic performance, but it’s also great for stability and core strength among other things.

Here are a few examples of different squat variations our athletes use at the Training Room. We know everyone comes to us with different levels of experience, previous injury history, and comfort levels.Our goal is to find the modality (squat variation) that best fits you. You don’t have to perform the same squat variation as the person next to you in order to get a fantastic workout.

Here’s a few variations:

Speed, agility, and strength training aren’t just for the offseason — they matter during the season too. And the benefits go way beyond performance.

⚡ Injury prevention
Strong muscles, stable joints, and proper movement mechanics help protect growing bodies. Year-round training teaches athletes how to move well, which lowers injury risk both in games and in everyday life.

⚡ Better performance on the field
Speed and agility training improves acceleration, change of direction, balance, and coordination — skills that translate to every sport, not just one season.

⚡ Strength = confidence
As athletes get stronger, they move with more confidence. That confidence shows up in competition, in practice, and eventually under the bigger lights of high school sports.
