For the past 24 years, Dr. Cherie Drez Bragg has been the heart and guiding hand of our hospice team, bringing exceptional skill, compassion, and leadership to our mission of caring for patients and families.

Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Hospice & Palliative Care, Dr. Bragg offers a rare depth of expertise that ensures each patient receives care that is not only medically sound, but also deeply personal. As a Fellow of both the American College of Physicians (ACP) and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), she exemplifies excellence in every aspect of care.

Beyond her credentials, what truly sets Dr. Bragg apart is her unwavering dedication to walking alongside patients and families through some of life’s most tender moments.

“Hospice doesn’t mean giving up — it means choosing how you want to live.”

Many people fear hospice because they associate it with “the end” or with “giving up hope.” But hospice is really about improving quality of life when a cure is no longer the goal. It’s about focusing on comfort, dignity, and support — for the patient and the family.

✅ What Hospice Is:
• A support system for people with a life-limiting illness, usually with a prognosis of six months or less if the illness runs its expected course.
• Care focused on comfort, not curing — managing pain, symptoms, and emotional or spiritual distress.
• Personalized care, often delivered at home, but available in hospitals, nursing homes, or dedicated hospice facilities.
• Family-centered care, providing grief support, caregiver education, and respite services.
• A choice that gives people more control over how they spend their time.

• It’s not “giving up.”
• It’s not only for the last days of life — many people benefit from it for months.
• It doesn’t mean you stop all treatment — just curative treatments. Comfort treatments, oxygen, medications, etc., continue.
• It doesn’t speed up death — studies show it can actually help people live longer and better.

What they do:
Hospice marketers are the bridge between our care teams and the communities we serve. They build trusted relationships with hospitals, physicians, senior living communities, and families – educating them on what hospice really means and when it’s time to consider it. Their work ensures that no one faces serious illness or end-of-life decisions alone or uninformed.

Why it Matters:
“When a patient gets to us too late, families often say, ‘I wish I’d known sooner.’ Our job is to make sure they do,” says Amy, Serenity Account Executive. “We’re not just promoting services-we’re giving families time, comfort, and peace,” says Breni, Serenity Account Executive.
