As we anticipate the holidays and harsh winter months, many of our wound centers have participated in sock drives for local charities. Socks are some of the most requested items in the winter for those less fortunate, and providing clean, new socks can even help prevent foot-related health complications. Today wrapped our 5th Annual RestorixHealth Pumpkin Decorating Contest! Every year, we look forward to the creativity of our teams, and we especially love when a pumpkin speaks to our mission of healing wounds. This year's winner even serves as a great segue to American Diabetes Month, a time to raise awareness for the risk factors and complications of diabetes, including non-healing wounds.

From East Coast to West, our wound centers have championed breast cancer awareness throughout the month of October by wearing pink in honor of the 4 million breast cancer survivors in the United States! While breast cancer treatments have improved throughout the years, they can still have long-lasting effects months—or even years—after treatment has ended. For those with internal or external wounds as a result of cancer treatment, wound care is essential.
