Communication is one of the most important ways children connect with the world around them. At Therapeutic Learning Center, our speech therapists support children in building the skills they need to express themselves, interact with others, and grow in confidence.

Through play-based, child-centered therapy, we meet children where they are and help them take meaningful steps forward.

🗣️🌞 Talkin’ Toddlers Summer Program is here!

Led by a speech therapist, this program helps little ones build important early skills through play and connection. Children will practice communication, listening, social interaction, emotional regulation, and play-based language learning in a fun and supportive environment.

👶 Ages 1–3
📅 Monday – Thursday
⏰ 9:00–12:00 or 9:00–2:30

At TLC, many of our therapy techs are students who are passionate about working with children and pursuing careers in fields like speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, and physical therapy.

One of the most rewarding parts of our team culture is watching these incredible individuals grow, gain hands-on experience, and eventually move on to graduate programs to continue their journey.

Several of our amazing techs are now heading off to grad school, and while we will miss them dearly, we are so proud of everything they have accomplished.

Because of this exciting next step for them, we are now looking for new therapy techs to join our team.

This position is a wonderful opportunity for students interested in pediatric therapy who want meaningful experience working alongside therapists and supporting children’s growth and development.

When a child covers their ears, avoids certain clothes, crashes into furniture, or has big reactions to small changes… it’s easy to assume it’s behavior.

But sometimes, it’s sensory.

Many behaviors are actually nervous system responses. When a child feels overwhelmed, overstimulated, or under-responsive, their body reacts — and that reaction can look like defiance, avoidance, or meltdowns.

Understanding the “why” behind behavior changes everything.

Instead of asking, “How do I stop this?”
We begin asking, “What is their body telling us?”
