When you look at the people you admire…
it was never about their body.

It was their talent. Their presence. Their impact.

💚 Your body isn’t the barrier. And shrinking it won’t make you more worthy of the life you want.

Under-fueling doesn’t just affect your body, it affects your brain, too.

When your brain isn’t getting enough energy, decision-making, focus, and flexibility all take a hit. Things can feel more overwhelming, more black-and-white, and harder to think through.

This isn’t a lack of willpower.
It’s a lack of fuel.

Nourishment supports clarity, regulation, and the ability to make decisions that actually feel aligned.

Do you find it hard to tell a parent, friend, or loved one how to support you?
Share this post with them to show them how to support you.

Recovery is already loud. There’s already a voice questioning, criticizing, second-guessing.

What I need from you is less noise, not more.

Not comments about my body.
Not praise for eating “well” or “healthy.”
Not questions that make me feel watched.

Just support. Presence. Neutrality.

That’s what helps me heal.

Think... "same but different". It might not seem like a big jump to you, but your child sees "different".

💚 New foods might be a major "NO" for your child right now, but small changes can prevent food loss while introducing variety little by little. This teaches your kid to become a more flexible eater, and flexible eating means eating at new places... and even learning to enjoy new foods!

Easter candy can feel like a lot. And it makes sense that your instinct might be to limit it, hide it, or tightly control it.

But those approaches can unintentionally increase focus, urgency, and obsession around sweets.

Instead, think: exposure + neutrality.

When candy is allowed and included regularly, it becomes just another food, and kids learn to self-regulate over time.

Recovery often means letting go of the rigid rules that once dictated your day. The ones that told you when you could eat, what you were allowed to have, or how much rest you deserved.

As those rules start to loosen, something else opens up: space for flexibility, connection, and joy.

Recovery can look like saying yes to plans, being spontaneous, honoring when your body needs rest, and allowing yourself to experience food and life without constant calculation.

Little by little, life gets bigger than the rules. 💚

Some gentle ways to challenge yourself and support your recovery this month 🌱

Maybe it looks like adding creamer to your coffee instead of drinking it black.
Sleeping in and letting your body rest.
Getting froyo with friends without overthinking it.
Or having an afternoon snack when you’re hungry.

Recovery is often built through small moments like these: choosing nourishment, flexibility, and self-trust a little more each day.

Which one could you challenge yourself with this week? 💚

There are a lot of myths about eating disorder dietitians.

We don’t just tell people to “eat more,” ignore health, or only work with people who are underweight. In reality, ED dietitians help people rebuild trust with food, restore nourishment, support physical and mental health, and work alongside therapists and physicians as part of a treatment team.

Eating disorders affect people of all body sizes, and everyone deserves support.

Save or share this post to help clear up some of these misconceptions. 💚

We spend so much time on our phones and most of what we see is decided by an algorithm.

But the good news? You have more control than you might think.

The accounts you follow, the posts you like, the content you linger on… all of it shapes what your feed shows you next.

If your feed is filled with diet culture, body comparison, or content that makes body image harder, you’re allowed to change it. Unfollow, mute, block, and seek out voices that support healing instead.

Your environment matters and your digital environment does too. 💚

Eating disorders don’t have a “look.”

They can affect anyone regardless of success, fame, or appearance.

When people speak openly about their experiences, it helps break stigma and reminds others that they’re not alone.

Recovery is possible, and support matters. 💚

Many common food habits with kids are well-intentioned, but they can shape how children think about food, hunger, and their bodies.

Small shifts in how we talk about and approach food can help kids build a healthier, more trusting relationship with eating. 💚

National Nutrition Month with a Cedar Health twist. 💚

If “nutrition” messaging makes you feel like you need to overhaul your diet, cut foods out, or eat perfectly, that’s diet culture sneaking in.

Nutrition is about nourishment. It’s about eating enough, enjoying a variety of foods, and supporting your body in a way that feels sustainable.

Nutrition shouldn’t feel restrictive or overwhelming, it should help you feel supported, energized, and able to live your life.
