Reason 9 to Give Life is Angie and Donna.
Angie and Donna each chose to become living donors and offered someone the most life changing gift a person can give. Angie is also a donor mom and Donna is part of a donor family, and the love they bring to this community goes far beyond their donation. They show us that living donors are everyday people with extraordinary generosity and that hope often begins with someone who says yes.

Reason 5 to Give Life is Paul.
Paul was born with cystic fibrosis and was never expected to live past childhood. By his late 20s, he struggled to breathe and his weight dropped to 108 pounds. In 2015, he received his first double lung transplant and fought his way back to strength. When a virus attacked his new lungs, he had to face that battle again. In 2017, Paul received a second double lung transplant and once more rebuilt his entire life from the ground up. Today he is 170 pounds, lifts six days a week, and is living proof of what organ donation makes possible. Paul shares his story so that donors can see the lives they save and so recipients can see what they are capable of.

Collins continues to live his life with purpose and a deep appreciation for the family who made his second chance possible.

Reason 3 to Give Life is Emily.
Emily was born with Dilated Cardiomyopathy and spent her early life fighting for every heartbeat. She received her heart transplant on January 6, 2017, and has spent the years since pouring that gift into everything she does. She is an active member of Team LA and finds joy in family, friends, volunteering, baking, being outdoors, and staying active. Emily carries her donor’s legacy with so much love and gratitude and continues to inspire everyone who meets her.

Reason 2 to Give Life is Cecilia.
Cecilia’s story is especially powerful because her gift came from home. She received her liver transplant from her father, who chose to be her living donor. His generosity gave her the future she dreamed about and the strength to keep moving forward. Their bond is a beautiful reminder that living donation changes not only one life but an entire family.

This holiday season, we’re sharing 8 Reasons to Give the Gift of Life — eight powerful stories of hope, healing, and second chances made possible through organ, eye, and tissue donation.

Each day, you’ll meet someone whose life was changed because of a donor’s selfless “yes.”
✨ Emily
✨ Collins
✨ Paul
✨ Cecilia
✨ Tilsa
✨ Blake
✨ Kayden
✨ And finally, Angie & Donna — two remarkable living donors whose generosity reminds us that heroes often come in pairs.

Their journeys are different, but each one shows what the gift of life makes possible: more birthdays, more milestones, more memories, and more moments that matter.
As you follow along, we hope you’ll feel inspired to support lifesaving education and awareness this season.
