You don't heal from toxic family by going back to them for validation. You heal by finally believing you're enough without requiring them to agree.

You keep hoping that one day they'll see you, really see you, and finally validate all the pain they caused. That they'll acknowledge what they did, apologize, tell you that you were right all along and you deserved better. But healing isn't waiting for that moment. Because that moment might never come. And even if it does, it won't fix what's broken inside you the way you think it will.

Real healing is realizing you don't need their validation to know your truth. You don't need them to admit they were wrong for you to be right about what happened. You don't need their approval to believe you're worthy. The validation you're seeking from them, the acknowledgment, the apology, you have to give that to yourself. You have to become the one who says "what happened to you was real, and you deserved better." Stop going back to the source of your pain for healing. You're enough without them ever agreeing. And that's when you're actually free.

I suspected this a few months ago in conversations with clients who thought they were nonresponders and/or had horrible side effects on compounded GLP-1s work B12 that didn't quite make sense, but it did to me. You combine a compounded peptide with a liquid vitamin injectable supplement together and you get a new compound. That's basic science... you don't know how the two impact each other.

🚨 Major safety update: Eli Lilly has released new data showing a significant, unknown impurity is formed when compounding tirzepatide with Vitamin B12.

Eli Lilly’s testing showed that when tirzepatide is mixed with B12 (methylcobalamin or cyanocobalamin), a chemical reaction creates a new, unstudied chemical compound. Lilly purchased 10 different compounded products from various sources and they detected this chemical impurity in all 10 of the samples tested.

The FDA is also stepping up enforcement by issuing warning letters to 30 different telehealth companies regarding their marketing and claims about these compounded GLP-1s.

The other major concern here is the lack of oversight from these telehealth platforms selling compounded GLP-1s. I’ve had patients come in who were previously taking compounds from other places, and it's incredibly concerning. Many didn't even know what dose they were on. They had never actually met with a provider, and they received zero counseling on side effects, lifestyle, or nutrition.

Now, on top of that, we have zero data on this new chemical impurity's:
❌ Toxicity
❌ Short- or long-term effects
❌ Interaction with GLP-1 receptors
❌ Potential for immune reactions

This finding reinforces the serious concerns already stated in the joint statement by the Obesity Medicine Association, The Obesity Society, and Obesity Action Coalition regarding compounded GLP-1 receptor agonists and their risks:
🚩 Inconsistent dosing
🚩 Potential contamination
🚩 Lack of standard testing for clinical efficacy
🚩 And now untested impurities formed by chemical interaction.

We need to prioritize safety and proven efficacy for our patients by sticking to FDA-approved medications.
