Snyder Village began with an estate gift from Metamora resident, Bertha Snyder. Snyder’s gift provided the seed money that laid the foundation for the opening of Snyder Village in 1988. Snyder Village is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, tax-exempt organization which is governed by a local, volunteer board of directors. Our care for residents exceeds simply maintaining health and dignity. Snyder Village is a life plan community located on the edge of the village of Metamora, about 20 minutes from Peoria, IL. Our 40+ acre campus includes retirement cottages and apartments, beautiful assisted living accommodations, and a caring and skilled health center with 24/7 nursing care. Two levels of memory care serve residents on campus and inpatient and outpatient skilled therapy services are also available for residents and the surrounding community. The Snyder Village Home Care team lends a helping hand to individuals across four counties - Peoria, Tazewell, Woodford, and Marshall.
