☎🎉 Happy Birthday, 9-1-1! 🎉☎

Today marks 58 years of 9-1-1 serving as a vital lifeline between the public and emergency responders across the United States!

Since the first ever 9-1-1 call was placed in Haleyville, Alabama, on February 16, 1968, this lifesaving system has helped countless individuals connect to emergency assistance when they need it most.

For decades, 9-1-1 has been the critical link between people in crisis and the first responders who keep our communities safe.

A huge thank you to all the dedicated telecommunicators at New Hampshire 911 as well as our own Fire Alarm Operators who answer the call 24/7, providing help when it’s needed most. Your service saves lives every single day!

Every Second Counts!

The Eliot FRC is offering a Virtual Spanish speaking Nurturing Father’s Program starting on February 27, 2026. They are also offering several other virtual parenting program options for moms, dads, and all caretakers in English. Please see the flyers for all these great programs attached. To send a referral or for further information, please contact the Eliot FRC at FRC@eliotchs.org or 781-581-4750.

Parenting doesn’t come with a manual—and no one expects you to have it all figured out.

Nurturing Fathers and parenting groups offer a space where dads can slow down, talk honestly, and grow alongside other fathers who are trying to do their best for their children. It’s a place to learn practical skills, reflect on your own experiences, and strengthen the kind of relationship you want with your kids.

These groups aren’t about being a “perfect” parent. They’re about showing up, learning healthier ways to communicate, understanding how our past shapes our parenting, and building confidence as a father. You’ll gain tools you can use right away—at home, in stressful moments, and during everyday interactions that matter more than we realize.

Most importantly, you’ll realize you’re not alone. Other fathers share the same challenges, questions, and hopes for their families.

If you care about being present, breaking unhealthy cycles, and creating a stronger future for your children, this group is worth your time.

❄️ Warming Stations Open – Please Seek Shelter ❄️

With dangerously cold temperatures expected over the upcoming days, warming stations are open to provide a safe, heated place for anyone in need.

If you or someone you know is experiencing homelessness, housing instability, or is without heat, please seek shelter. Prolonged exposure to cold can be life-threatening.

🧣 Stay warm. Stay safe.
📍 Warming stations offer heat, rest, and in some locations, additional support services.
📞 If you see someone outdoors who may be at risk, please reach out to local outreach services or emergency responders.

No one should face the cold alone.
