Why do I have so much energy? I didn’t always. In fact, in my 30s I could barely get myself out of bed. Until I discovered the culprit. It was GLUTEN! Come to find out that GMO grains like wheat, rye and barley contain more gluten than our bodies can handle. These super large proteins can’t get broken down by our digestive system and cause damage, leaky gut and toxicity which can paralyze your body and cause fatigue, brain fog and neuropathy (numbness and tingling in the extremities).

Do you suffer from FATIGUE?
The number one reason for fatigue is Anemia.
There are hundreds of different types of anemia.
Most are caused from food sensitivities.
Food sensitivity causes protein reaction which causes INFLAMMATION which causes FATIGUE.

I experienced peripheral neuropathy after the birth of my third child. I was in my mid thirties, afraid that the increasing numbness and tingling in my hands would force me to shout down my practice. I went to see many medical doctors and did a great many tests… but nobody was able to help me. Being a chiropractor by trade, trained to investigate and pursuit the CAUSE of any health problem, I was desperate to figure out what possibly could cause my symptoms. I was not going to accept that I had to live with this incapacitating dis-ease. It took me several years… and ironically one of my patients at that time helped me figure it out.
I eliminated the cause of my numbness and gradually my nerves seemed to heal. Today I am in my fifties and in better health than I was in my thirties. I feel blessed that- me being a doctor of chiropractic- I had the conviction to investigate. I’m thankful that I was able to identify the culprit, eliminate it and let my body heal.
More than ever I am convinced that pharmaceutical drugs should be used for emergencies and not as subscriptions to an illusion of health. Wellbeing is a result of being mindful to the needs of your body and being patient to allow it to heal.

As I am getting older, I’m focusing on increasing the protein while reducing the carbs. Normally we would have roasted the asparagus by itself and then serve them with a meat and a grain. I decided to wrap the asparagus up in protein and make that them the center of a paleo-keto meal. There you have it: a simple Asparagus-Bacon-Cheese Cordon Bleu. 😋
