Saturday, March 28th we’re kicking off our first Combine of the year at KING Strength. This event is all about fun, energy, and community—one of those days where the whole gym comes together to lift, cheer each other on, and celebrate the work everyone has been putting in.

The Combine is also a chance to reassess your progress and see if the consistency you’ve brought to your training is translating into real results. You’ll have the option to test your 1RM, 3RM, or 5RM, and you can test all three lifts or just one—whatever feels right for you.

🏋️‍♂️ Back Squat testing: 7:00–7:45 AM
🏋️‍♂️ Bench Press testing: 8:00–8:45 AM
🏋️‍♂️ Deadlift testing: 9:00–9:45 AM

More than anything, the Combine is a great vibe. Expect a high-energy atmosphere, teammates cheering you on, and a chance to celebrate big lifts and small wins together. Whether you’re chasing a PR or just curious to see where you stand, come enjoy the experience with your KING Strength crew.

Last night we had the honor of celebrating International Women’s Day at KING Strength alongside an incredible group of women from our community — resilient entrepreneurs, business owners, mothers, and leaders all rooted right here in Metuchen.

We began the evening with a strength and mobility session led by the KING Strength training team, followed by a deeply restorative Yoga Nidra practice with Adrianne M. Rowe, and closed the movement portion of the night with an expressive arts experience led by Vika Chala of

After moving together, we spent the rest of the evening connecting over food, refreshments, and conversation while hearing insights from an inspiring group of local professionals including early childhood educator Alison Magee, life coach and expressive arts practitioner Vika Chala, licensed clinical psychologist Dr. Hemisha Patel Urgola, functional nutrition counselor Audrey Sheeley, registered dietitian Lorraine Matthews-Antosiewicz, and restorative yoga practitioner Adrianne Rowe.

Guests were also treated to relaxing massages from , which added another layer of care and recovery to the evening.

A huge thank you to Selina Sabolboro of for the incredible food and baked goods that helped bring everyone together.

It was amazing to see so many familiar faces from the gym alongside many new faces from the Metuchen community. Moments like this remind us how powerful it is when community comes together to share knowledge, support one another, and build meaningful connections.

We’re grateful to everyone who helped make this night possible and excited to continue building with this newly formed wellness collective.

A staple in our warm-ups and cooldowns at KING Strength: Glenohumeral Shoulder CARs.

Controlled Articular Rotations (CARs) are one of the simplest ways to keep your shoulders healthy, mobile, and strong. Instead of mindlessly swinging your arms around, CARs take the shoulder joint through its full, controlled range of motion while the rest of the body stays stable.

The goal isn’t speed — it’s control.

By slowly rotating the shoulder through its available range, you’re improving joint health, maintaining capsular mobility, and teaching the surrounding muscles to stabilize the joint in every position. Over time, this helps reduce stiffness, improve overhead mechanics, and build more resilient shoulders.

At KING Strength, we use Glenohumeral CARs to:
• Maintain shoulder mobility
• Improve joint control and stability
• Prep the shoulders for pressing, pulling, and overhead work
• Reset and restore the joint during cooldowns
