We want to share this with you, because you deserve to hear it directly from us.
Across the United States, independent pharmacies are closing at a troubling rate. Pharmacy benefit managers — large corporate entities that control prescription reimbursements — have made it increasingly difficult for locally owned pharmacies to stay viable. It's a quiet crisis, and communities all over the country are feeling the loss of the personal, neighborly pharmacy care they once counted on.
Our family knows this reality well. We've navigated it for years while operating both Jackson Street Drug and Webber Pharmacy. And rather than wait for circumstances to make our decisions for us, we chose to act — on our terms, with intention, and with you at the center of every consideration.
We also want to be fully transparent with you about the legal details of our transition, following guidance from our attorney and certified public accountant:
Effective Monday, March 30, 2026, Webber Pharmacy, Inc. will file Articles of Dissolution with the Missouri Secretary of State and will cease conducting business except as necessary to wind up its affairs. Also on March 30, 2026, Justbren Inc. — the company currently operating Jackson Street Drug — will relocate to 1101 West Monroe Street, Suite 103, Mexico, Missouri, and will begin conducting business under the name Webber Pharmacy.
In plain terms: the pharmacy you have known and trusted at both locations will continue — under the same family, the same dedicated staff, and the same commitment to your care — at a new home on West Monroe Street. 💚

The one that takes a few extra minutes with the young mom who just got a complicated new diagnosis and isn't sure where to start. The one that remembers not just your prescriptions, but your life. Here's what that means for you practically:
Jackson Street Drug will serve patients through the close of business on Saturday, March 28th.
Justbren Inc. d/b/a Webber Pharmacy will open at the new location on Monday, March 30th.
