Love notes from the streets of Miami.

If I vent am I being negative? If I surpress am I being dismissive? If I vent does that mean I’m a whiner? If I surpress am I in denial? If I vent do I seem ungrateful? If I surpress does that make me stronger? What is right and what is wrong? Where is the line?

These are all real life questions I constantly ask myself when times are tough. And most of my tough times you cannot see, they reside in my heart and my head. But they are there just like everyone has their own. Never assume everything is OK with someone just because they have a bright sunny exterior. We all face our battles and it looks different from person to person.

But my #1 rule is always to observe how tough times serve me for a greater purpose. Yes I throw a tantrum (or 2 or 3 😁) and usually in the comfort of my close friends, but then I release and sit to observe the situation closer. And then I take it a step further and observe my body and what physical changes I can notice in my movement and my yoga practice. So I approach my problems both physically and mentally. I hold myself accountable and lately I’m starting to hold others accountable too. And that last part has made a WORLD of a difference. It does not mean I blame others, but it also means I don’t take all the blame myself and sit in victim mode. It means I hold love in my heart and from there I can hold love for others too. I’ve learned to be as fair as possible in my analysis and slowly peel years of conditioning off my eyes to see things more as they really are and less as I decide to see them from my comfort zone.

And this is something I’ve learned thru every teacher I have had in my life. From academic to therapeutic to spiritual. This life is a group project situation. We are all part of a world community working on a project to elevate humanity and our awareness, and we each hold a key component in it’s progress. Use the resources you have available to you, and that includes all those people in your life who are here to teach you something about your own self, whether it’s a bitter or sweet lesson.

Thank you to all my teachers, and to those yet to come too. 🙏🏼✨💗

Still feeling the lift in my spirit after yesterday’s shift. As a nation I feel we are standing taller now. Our 4 year temper tantrum is over and we have realized the error in our ways and can now approach ALL issues with a steadier resolve and towards a common goal. Raise our voices for the greater good for humanity instead of the greater good for a select few.

I do not simply dismiss the last four years. I am grateful for them in any case. We needed them, as a country and as a global society. Now let’s get on with business keeping everything we learned in mind. DO NOT close the book on the last 4 years, keep it open, keep it present, and use it to fire the much needed readjustment of all our systems.

Breathwork. Meditation. Visualization. Intention. Creation.

My new commitment to myself. Every morning, no matter what, get in this quiet time to center myself.

It’s only Day 2 of my new morning ritual, whether I practice asana or not, and already I averted a mini-meltdown today.

And so it begins, a new journey in the new year 💫

Starting this Friday you can catch me for a live class on at noon!

As an “Intro to Yoga” teacher for a while, I always felt a need for a middle step between learning how to breathe and move at the same time, to then leading up to a Half or Full Primary guided class. And this is my focus...Introducing you to the Ashtanga Primary series with a workshop style approach to the first quarter of the series.

I love Yoga. It’s that simple...It changed how I choose to live my life. I see the light it sparks in people’s eyes when they find that connection with themselves and start to believe this yoga thing is in fact good for them too. I love helping people feel a connection to their physical body and learn to listen to their body’s guidance. I love spreading the practice and the teachings. I love touching people’s lives thru the practice and knowing there will be a ripple effect I cannot measure but can certainly feel and trust. Its my passion. When I teach, I learn. And what I learn, I teach. It’s entirely symbiotic and so fulfilling to see how we can all become teachers in our own way, to each other but most importantly to ourselves.

So if this resonates, then come join me on your mat! Every Friday at 12pm ET 🙏🏼 link in my bio to sign up, and use the code TATIANA1MONTH for a 30 day free trial.

Ease into the effort, and with that same effort work your way back into the ease.

Be strong, consistent, dedicated and devoted to your practice. But don’t forget to have a little fun and enjoy the ride while you’re at it. It’s just yoga. No trophy, no gold medal, just lessons for many lifetimes. Don’t be in such a rush to get the asana that you forget to enjoy the ride itself.

When you feel love coming down on you, like a heavy wave.

When you feel this crazy society,
headin' to the strand.

Take a straw to the nearest waters
and remember your place.

Many moons have risen and fallen long, long before youve came.

So which way is the wind blowin',
and what does your heart say?

So follow, follow the sun,
and which way the wind blows
when this day is done...
