Gotlin believes in combining time-tested alternative medicine with cutting-edge mainstream techniques. That gives him flexibility when developing treatment plans for the women he treats at his Miami Beach, Florida practice: Gotlin OBGYN & Wellness. He’s just one of a few doctors in the area certified to perform robotic minimally invasive surgeries. Dr. Gotlin uses this technique to perform delicate surgeries like hysterectomies, the removal of fibroid tumors, and tubal ligations. Dr. Gotlin received his medical degree in 1990 from Nova Southeastern University of the Health Sciences, located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. After completing a rotating medical/surgical internship at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, he completed his residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn, New York from 1991-1996, serving as chief resident during his final year. He uses his Adjuvant Clinical faculty member position at Barry University in Miami Shores to break down complex topics for students, making his classes among the most popular offered at the college. Dr. Gotlin also held the title of Resident Preceptor at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Florida for Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine Residents, and is a Fellow of American College of Osteopathic Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Gotlin embraces any opportunity to inspire and encourage new medical students. He has used his position as a full-time faculty member at Larkin Hospital to spearhead new medical initiatives designed to keep the spirit of innovation flowing as he educates those eager to enter the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
