It might be a better option to pay cash for your Rxs than rely on insurance because,
you may actually pay the same or even save money$$$!
Most importantly and keep this in mind:
1. If you avoid an Rx claim to your insurance, your Rx business is more private and pretty much no one’s business but yours and your pharmacist only.
2. By paying cash instead of using your insurance, (this includes discount cards like GoodRx or SingleCare)
your PHI
is NOT Shared
with a 3rd party.
In the simplest of terms,
Your Personal Health Information, although protected, is not shared or passed on to a 3rd party insurance payor who will sell your information for money $$ without you ever knowing.

Are you sure you’re ok taking this medication considering where it’s coming from?
If prescribed for you and, you’re filling at a chain pharmacy, this is what you’ll get.
Do you really want a Chinese Generic.
I don’t dispense these types of generics (and there’s A Lot of them) when there are other options.
In this case for this medication,
I dispense Greenstone Brand Generic for this drug which is actual, brand name Medrol.
If you don’t know your drugs, you better know your Independent Pharmacist.

So every now and then, a special visitor drops by to say hello! Walter is 93 years young accompanied by his lovely daughter Sandra.
I met him back in 1997 when he was about 68 years old.
Walter delivered prescriptions for me at Modern Pharmacy.
He again delivered for me here at Midtown Pharmacy in 2001 for at least a decade.
Kind, dependable, reliable, intelligent, and soft spoken speaks volumes of this gentleman.
May G-d bless him and keep him always.
He’s definitely a special soul and it’s a privilege and an honor being his friend.

Greetings to all!
I am sharing an insightful publication demonstrating detrimental hardships independent pharmacies and pharmacists like myself struggle with daily. Midtown Pharmacy, in business well over 60 years, is the last small, independent pharmacy on a street where once upon a time existed (6) six independents 20 years ago.
Everything said and seen in this informative PBS production about my AAP Coop Buying Group colleague is 100% true as it is affecting me and Midtown Pharmacy.
I’m also a member of AAP, an
Independent Pharmacy Owned Coop Group which has over 2000 independent pharmacy members across America. Anyone reading this post or seeing this video should really consider supporting small business and switching to a small independent pharmacy offering much more than any large chain pharmacy truly provide for its patients.
Here are some examples :
1. Personalized and individualized pharmacy care and attention No Chain Pharmacy can truly provide.
2. An independent pharmacy is superior to a chain pharmacy because it’s not guided by a giant corporation making the patient a Nobody and only thinking of its bottom line.
3. An independent pharmacist has the ability to accommodate patients with superior generic medications that are not Made in China; while a chain pharmacy dispenses whatever corporate purchases for its stores including the cheapest, most inferior drugs.
4. An independent pharmacist is aware of drug costs, and is conscious not only to the patient’s medical needs and also the financial, burdensome impact of drug costs to the patient. A chain pharmacist is clueless to drug costs or where a drug is manufactured because all purchases and financials are handled by corporate.
5. If you don’t know your drugs, You better know your pharmacist. Professional Service, Individualized care with a human touch, the importance of compassionate, efficient service are just a few mentionable aspects of what I do for my patients every day.
