A gentle and deep treatment with powerful impact in our mind and emotions.

1-Day workshop to learn the protocol of the Shirodhara therapy. This workshop is for anyone interested in the practice of one of the most significant and important treatments of Ayurveda.

Shirodhara is a gentle treatment, but very deep at the same time, with a powerful impact on our mind and emotions. This therapy consists of gently and softly pouring liquids on the forehead, this can be one of the steps involved in Panchakarma. The name comes from the Sanskrit word Shiro (head) and dhara (flow).

The Spiritual ✨significance of the Autumnal Equinox is the time when we set up our internal space and make room for what’s to come in the next year, we create room for our greater visions to grow by allowing the empty space and silence to take and clear our internal grounds, in the fall we go into dormancy and then rest in the cold and darkness of winter, we go back in hibernation and become creative but not by doing but by becoming quiet and listening to what is trying to emerge from within us.

Welcome this beautiful magical season using one of the following to embrace all that is good

15 mins before and 15 mins after of the precise Equinox seat quietly on the ground in thoughtfulness and meditation and open your mind and your senses to the intelligence of nature all around you, in this time you acknowledge the personal growth cycle and ask for harmony and balance to be the fertilizer and the soil of your life’s garden

I encourage you take some time this year to acknowledge you life cycle and your spiritual path in doing so your are honoring not only your own growth and light within but the aged wisdom that has served and held us for thousands of years, this is a time of a powerful 3 day galactic portal time and the birthing of he shift where there’s a wonderful opportunity to set the patterns of your life of how exactly you want it to look like or be.

A beginning of a true awakening, a reality, shift of space on your output of your energies, your thoughts, words, intentions, and deeds.

🧘🏼‍♀️ Shirodhara: 🌿Ayurveda’s Bliss Therapy

A Stress Management Treatment

Shirodhara, perhaps the most soothing oil treatment😌 “the Science of Life” has to offer. Shirodhara (Shiro = head and dhara = flow).

Its purpose is to reduce stress and induce a state of deep relaxation.

Shirodhara has been used to help relieve insomnia, anxieties, fears, stress, headaches, and other nervous system disorders. Patients normally experience deep relaxation during the treatment.
The Process:
During the treatment, a thin stream of warm, herb-infused oil (like sesame) is gently poured from a copper pot onto the forehead for a prolonged period (about 40-60 minutes). The trained therapist gently directs the stream over the third eye 👁 and another important marma (energy) ✨points found across the forehead.

The result is a state of calmness and deep relaxation — a feeling of balanced rest for the body and mind. It is called “bliss therapy” because of the profound effect that Shirodhara has upon consciousness.

The benefits of Shirodhara are magnified when performed immediately after an Ayurvedic 💆🏼(abhyanga). Just as abhyanga calms the restless body and Shirodhara calms the restless mind.

Is this YOU while in Meditation?🧘🏼‍♀️

VATAS 🌀have air-like qualities: They’re always thinking, highly creative and imaginative. However, sometimes this air 🌀can become excess and turn into a tornado🌪 of thoughts in their mind, making it impossible to meditate. Vatas have difficulty finding internal stillness because there is so much energy moving through them. One moment they’re chanting a mantra and the next it’s “Despacito.”

PITTAS 🔥have fire-like qualities: They’re hyper-productive, organized and goal-oriented. That makes sitting in meditation🧘🏼‍♀️, where you are supposed to be doing nothing, very difficult for them. Pittas will try to make their meditations as productive as possible and use the ‘idle’ time to plan tomorrow’s itinerary 🗒or how they’re going to structure their next project.

KAPHAS 🌳have earth-like qualities: They’re calm, grounded and giving. However, just like Earth, they can be slow and dense. Kaphas may often turn meditation🧘🏼‍♀️ into nap-time. They absolutely cannot mediate lying down without falling asleep😴. They need a meditation that’s more interactive, otherwise, they won’t be able to stay up for it.

We experience people with a dominant Vata 🌀as enthusiastic, light, and creative. They are quick-witted and open to new experiences. Additionally, they are active 🏃‍♀️and like to move. We like their easiness but not their forgetfulness🤦🏼‍♀️

Vata people love music 🎶 and dance💃 . They can relax well when listening to classical music, enjoy warm and gentle oil massages 💆🏼 and can forget themselves and the world in the process.

A cozy ambiance and soft fabrics such as silk, silk-wool blend, and cotton on the skin provide for basic inner balance. The rooms they live in should radiate warmth and comfort. An easy chair or sofa with a soft fleece blanket helps them to relax quickly.

Their spontaneity 😃sometimes leads people with a Vata constitution to rash, meaningless money 💰 expenditures. If, on the other hand, Vata people live in equilibrium, they remain vibrant, friendly, and creative beings for their entire lives. Here’s a general look at the doshas, along with their skin qualities and recommended oils:

🌀Vata (dry skin). Use heavy oils like almond, sesame, or avocado oil.
🔥Pitta (sensitive or overheated skin). Apply a neutral oil like ghee, coconut (more cooling oil) or sunflower oil.
🌳Kapha (oily skin). Use a light oil, such as safflower, sweet almond, or flaxseed oil.
Each carrier oil can be used by itself or blended with another oil.

Pitta types can be well-structured, manage projects, and concentrate exceptionally well. They want to do something and are practically predisposed. They are a pleasure as teachers because their lessons are logically organized, and everyone can follow their clear manner of expression.

The Pitta 🔥type spends money more systematically and prudently.
The Pitta person likes strong massages 💆🏼‍♀️with cooling oils (e.g., with rose and sandalwood), enjoying the outdoors 🌴as well as a bright and well-ventilated workplace. An open-plan office or working at the stove would make life more difficult for him/her and for colleagues sharing the same space.

Pitta types love to exercise 🏃‍♀️ outdoors and enjoy measuring their skills with others in order to prove their fighting 💪🏻 spirit. They prefer light, loose-fitting clothing made of natural materials in both summer and winter.
