🧠💬 Friday Fun Fact!

Ever hear a child repeat a word or phrase over and over again? This is called echolalia — and it’s more common (and meaningful!) than you might think.

➡️ Echolalia is when a child repeats words, sounds, or phrases they’ve heard — sometimes immediately, sometimes later.

✨ Fun fact: Echolalia is often a stepping stone to meaningful communication — not just random repetition. It can be a way for children to process language, self-regulate, or even connect with others.

At our ABA agency, we embrace echolalia as part of the communication journey. With support, many children grow from repetition to expression 💛
