Why We Practice: Stillness, Gratitude, and Presence

During Christmas week, the energy around us becomes full, emotional, and fast. We practice to consciously slow down and create moments of stillness within the movement of the season. Stillness creates space to listen inward, integrate, and return to ourselves.

Gratitude arises when we pause. Through practice, we reconnect with what is already here, our breath, our body, and the connections that sustain us. Gratitude grounds the nervous system and allows us to meet the season with softness and awareness.

Presence weaves it all together. We practice to be fully here, honoring this time with intention rather than rush.

We will be open all week for you to practice and reconnect, except on December 25, when we will be closed. We return on December 26 to continue holding space for sound, rest, and integration.

ENERGY OF THE WEEK: December 22 – 28, 2025
Theme: Renewal, emotional warmth, and conscious realignment

Cosmic Highlights:
• The Winter Solstice energy sets the tone, marking a powerful turning point where light slowly begins to return.
• This week invites reset and rebirth, encouraging you to pause, reflect, and realign before the year closes.
• Emotional themes center around home, belonging, and what truly nourishes you—internally and externally.

Emotional & Energetic Flow:
• Early Week: Stillness and introspection—your body and mind ask for rest and presence.
• Midweek: Heart-centered connections deepen; conversations feel more meaningful and sincere.
• Late Week: A gentle sense of renewal emerges, bringing clarity about what you want to carry forward.

This Week’s Practice:
• Slow down intentionally—honor rest as part of growth.
• Spend time with people, places, or rituals that feel grounding and familiar.
• Reflect on the year with compassion rather than judgment.
• Set a soft intention for the next cycle—something rooted in truth, not pressure.

Mantra:
“I rest, I realign, I welcome the return of light.”

Let this week be a sacred pause—where reflection becomes wisdom and stillness prepares you for renewal.

Friends of NAMO: Tara Benmeleh

Also known as , is an artist and ceremonialist who weaves mindfulness, beauty, and nature into ritual. Her work is rooted in presence and intentionality, transforming simple moments into sacred experiences that invite reflection, softness, and connection.

Through her offerings, Tara creates spaces that gently elevate frequency and encourage a deeper relationship with the self, with others, and with the natural world. Her tea ceremonies are acts of devotion, opening the heart and bringing people together in stillness, meditation, and shared awareness, where time slows and community naturally forms.

This upcoming fall, Tara will be serving tea in our Tea Room at NAMO. Stay tuned and follow this goddess for more.

Tea as Ritual, Presence in Every Cup

In our ceremonies, tea is never an afterthought. It is an intentional part of the ritual, a living element that supports the nervous system, opens the senses, and prepares the body to receive sound with greater awareness. Each tea we serve is chosen for its origin, quality, and energetic resonance, allowing the warmth, aroma, and flavor to guide participants into a state of grounding and presence before and during the sound journey.

We work with teas sourced from , a brand deeply committed to artisanal craftsmanship, ethical sourcing, and a conscious relationship with the plant. Their approach honors tea not only as a beverage, but as a ceremonial ally, one that invites slowness, listening, and connection. This philosophy aligns naturally with our sound practices, where subtlety, intention, and attunement shape the experience.

On December 22, we invite you to our Special Planetary Sound Immersion, Tea Ceremony, and Christmas Card Exchange, a gathering created to close the year in reflection and community. This evening will blend planetary sound frequencies with a guided tea ceremony, creating a multi sensory experience that supports integration, gratitude, and renewal.

Admari Tea will join us as a special guest, sharing their vision and their tea as an integral part of the ceremony. Together, sound, taste, and aroma will weave into a unified ritual, offering a space to pause, connect, and honor the transition into the new cycle.

A moment to slow down, gather with intention, and align with the quiet wisdom of the season.

Why We Practice: Tea Ceremonies

Tea ceremonies invite us into a state of presence through ritual, rhythm, and intentional slowness. From the moment the water is heated to the final sip, every gesture is deliberate. This attentiveness gently regulates the nervous system, drawing us out of mental noise and back into the body. Time stretches, urgency dissolves, and awareness becomes refined.

We practice tea ceremony as a way to cultivate reverence for the ordinary. Tea teaches us that transformation does not require intensity, but consistency and care. The warmth of the cup, the aroma of the leaves, the quiet between pours all become anchors to the present moment. In this space, the mind settles and perception sharpens.

Tea ceremonies are also practices of relational presence. When shared, they create a field of listening that goes beyond words. Conversation slows or disappears, allowing connection to emerge organically. Hierarchies soften, roles dissolve, and what remains is a shared human experience rooted in simplicity.
At NAMO, tea ceremonies are approached as meditation in motion and as subtle energy work.

They support integration after sound, movement, or ceremony, helping the body and psyche absorb what has been experienced. Tea reminds us that healing can be gentle, that stillness is active, and that presence itself is medicine.

ENERGY OF THE WEEK: December 15 – 21, 2025
Theme: Integration, emotional maturity, and conscious closure

Cosmic Highlights:

The energy this week turns inward, inviting reflection, discernment, and emotional responsibility.

There is a strong call to close cycles with awareness and prepare the inner ground for what’s coming next.

Themes of compassion, forgiveness, and boundary-setting are activated—especially in close relationships.

Emotional & Energetic Flow:

Early Week: A reflective tone sets in—memories, realizations, and emotional insights surface gently.

Midweek: Emotional maturity is required; you’re asked to respond rather than react.

Late Week: A sense of quiet completion arrives, bringing peace, clarity, and readiness for renewal.

This Week’s Practice:

Reflect on the year’s emotional lessons—what strengthened you, what softened you.

Have one honest conversation that brings closure or clarity.

Release expectations that no longer align with who you are becoming.

Create a simple ritual of gratitude for what is ending and what is still unfolding.

Mantra:
“I honor what was. I integrate what I’ve learned. I close this chapter with clarity.”

Let this week guide you into conscious endings—steady, grounded, and deeply aligned.

Why We Practice: 1 to 1 Sessions

In a 1 to 1 session, practice becomes an intimate mirror. It is the moment when the noise dissolves and what remains is the truth of your own rhythm. Here you are not following a group, you are following your breath, your patterns, your story. The space listens to you, responds to you, adapts to you.

This is where healing shifts from a concept into a lived experience. Personalized sound opens layers that often stay dormant in a room full of people. Guided movement encourages the body to unwind what it has been quietly holding. You are met exactly where you are, without expectation, without performance, only presence.

And as awareness deepens, something subtle begins to unfold. You start to recognize the texture of your own energy. You begin to trust your internal compass. You return not to an idea of yourself, but to the version of you that feels unarmored, unhurried, and real.

This is why we practice, to create a space where transformation is not rushed, where the body leads, and where the truth that arises is honored fully.
