As we say goodbye to 2025, we reflect with gratitude on another year of service and outreach through our health fairs, reaching over a thousand patients across underserved communities in South Florida.

Our final health fair of the year was held at Lotus House Miami—a meaningful way to close the year.

We are deeply grateful to our volunteer physicians, medical students, and community partners whose dedication made this year truly impactful.

HOMESTEAD:
UMC Free Clinic is honored to have partnered with We-Count, a human rights organization led by immigrant workers and families in South Florida.
we were able to serve more than 50 patients, with the help of five healthcare providers, med students and umc volunteers.

We hosted our biggest Food Drive of the year, serving friends from three different cities: Miami Gardens, North Miami, and North Miami Beach.

Religious & Education centers participated: Miami Gardens Masjid, Miami Masjid, Davie Worship Center, Emmanuel Baptist Church, and Allen Chapel Church & Lake Stevens Elementary School.

Hosted by Islamic Relief USA, UMC Free Clinic, and Project Share is Care. Special thanks to all the volunteers—leading by example.

UMC Free Clinic recently conducted free EKG screenings for the first time outside its clinic, offering them at the North Miami Beach Health Fair. EKGs assist in detecting heart conditions, evaluating symptoms, and supporting preventive cardiovascular care. Uninsured patients may access this free service at www.miamifreeclinic.org

UMC Free Clinic update:
Florida’s mobile home communities—largely lower-income and fixed-income residents—are increasingly strained by rising lot rents. To support those facing financial hardship amid high healthcare costs, UMC Free Clinic hosts monthly health fairs with community volunteers and Nova University medical students in Hollywood, South Florida.
