Everyone went green at The Palace Gardens as Happy Hour transformed into a Lucky Irish Extravaganza. Residents at our assisted living and memory care community celebrated St. Patrick’s Day in festive style with lively fiddle and piano performances of Irish classics, delicious food and spirited drinks. From the music to the energy throughout the community, it was a shamrockin’ celebration filled with laughter, good cheer and a touch of Irish luck.

The festivities began with a Pancakes & Pearls Breakfast, followed by Pretty in Paint, where residents enjoyed canvas painting, a light lunch, and champagne. The fun continued with Bingo featuring beautiful flower arrangements as prizes, violin serenades during Happy Hour, and a lovely piano concert after dinner to end the day on a perfect note.

Charles “Charlie” Mendel, a resident of our The Palace at Weston community, recently visited George W. Carver Elementary in Coral Gables to share his story as a Holocaust survivor. He gave a firsthand perspective on history, connecting his experiences during World War II to lessons the students are learning in the classroom.
